And Then Up It Goes….

   Oh joyous daze. Just got word from our energy supplier that our lekky monthly DD for next year is going up by ten pounds from November. Is this something to do with fighting that climate thingy? If so, well done us I say.
    Even more reason for joy is that gas will come down by ten dabs so no change overall for next year then. For now but we won’t be doing any breath holding.
    We were also informed that every Sunday between 11:00 and 16:00 lekky will be billed at half price. With that info. We plan on only using the lights during that time. Say wot now? That’s mainly winter daylight time and we won’t need lights? Whoa! Double saving. How exciting is that then.
   I won’t stand back in amazement if further ‘savings’ are made this winter via blackouts to be blamed on various bits o’ bother round the globe...
    Finally, where are you Ripper? Hit me with a comment to let me know all’s well okay? Failing that, on the off chance this site is glanced at by an ex college who knows wot’s wot, drop a comment please. He was a welder with JCB, recently retired and renovating a recently purchased property. Thanks. I hope for good news... He was also a regular contributor at
Nourishing Obscurity of course. Here’s a number from back a bit I remember he enjoyed;

And Then He’s Off...

   I’m sure you’re all up to speed regards that fellow wot’s been silenced on that fairly new news channel for saying wot was on his mind about some other ‘journalist’. That would be on his mind wot didn’t jive with the accepted mind set required out there now.
Anyhoo, via a comment I got to read{for read, read read} the chaps thoughts on becoming branded a bad boy. It starts thusly;
“My final thoughts, before I move on. As we have a busy day helping a girl who misgendered another student, by refusing to call her a cat.”
And ends thusly;
“On a final note, we should all ask ourselves if this is a society we want to live in, where the cancel mob reign and your only chance at existence is total and utter capitulation to their whims.”
    The full bit’s below this underlined bit: Well typed that man. Again it be a link to that Twitter X thingy so I cant follow the thread.
    Anyhoo, anyone sent him a link to this old number?

And Then, Bu-By...

   Well, so, that is it then, the end of ten days of mourning. Wot comes next? Ten days of afternoon? Say wot now? Oh. It must also be the end of the media, for twenty four hours a day, poking a camera and microphone into folks faces wot are queuing to walk past a box. Will it now be today on constant repeat for days and days? And yet more days?
   Am I being naughty during such a solemn occasion? It’s the passing of an old lady who served this country well for a long time but during all that time she ever featured in my life in any way, shape or form and I’m quietly confident in typing that I also never done did do any of the above in her life.
   Anyhoo, let’s give all that no never mind and just say, again, cheerio old girl. That is all.

And Then It Got Weird...

   We have an older version of one of these attached to the outside tap; the model we have just has a central dial to select left, right or off. One hose serves the back garden and the other reel reaches the front.
   This morning my little nest of vipers watered the garden and on completion, I wound the hose back onto the reel and noticed the left side hose connector was cracked. No surprise as it’s been out there in all weathers for a goodly few years.
   Anyhoo, a search in the shed resulted in a new connector being found. Seems it miraculously missed one of my I’ll never need that clear-outs.
   Back at the two way connector, I was trying to remove the broken one and it just disintegrated in my hands. Easy so far but now I could see no way to connect the new hose connector to the two way body owing to the fact that the pushy onto bit had broken off said body.
   After a while I decided on the easy option of going and getting a new two way tap connector.
   Getting ready to go get one I thought, ‘Okay, I know I turned the tap off but did I select Off on the body? Just in case?’ Better bob out and check. And this is when it got a tad spooky.
   Out I went to check and found myself looking at a fully repaired and ready to go item. New connector and hose all securely secured. I honestly have absolutely no remembrance of doing this. Or how. Last memory being no way to attach a new connector. Get a new one.
   Did I experience a close encounter of the third kind? Did I experience an encounter with a greater force wot took pity on my fumbling and lent a helpful hand? Did the contents of my old head have a ten minute plus total time-out during the repair process? All options are a tad scary to dwell on.
   Did I strip it down to see how I’d done the seemingly impossible? No, because if it was indeed done by some other worldly kindly force, I didn’t want to upset them/it by appearing to be questioning the quality of their repair.
   Let’s give all that no never mind and enjoy the moment as the phrase ‘look to the future’ fails to appeal the older you get...

And Then, It’s Gone...

   Wot’s gone then? That would be the video posted last night. Damn! That was right quick!
   Not to be beaten by the big bully boys, and after an assortment of search words, I located the clip on an alternative site and replaced said clip in last nights post. It’s still there at time of typing. Watch it and figure out wot’s so naughty it had to be deleted, and by whom,  from NotYourTubeAnymore.
   Alternative views to the ‘accepted’ world view slowly being removed from the Wibbly Wobbly Web and the MSM. Bit by bit, bid farewell to your freedoms.
   In other ‘news’ I note that India is running out of oxygen. I guarantee, somewhere, ‘journalists’ are frantically working on a way to link this with climate. And here’s me and my little nest of vipers, or my little nest of vipers and I, whichever suits your understanding of grammar, using the central heating of a morning. How bad can we be?
   All part of slowly going back down the gears of co-co, leaving one and all totally terrified, as they simultaneously easy up through the scary gears of climate terror.

And Then, The End Game...

After reading a post over at Head Rambles, I got to thinking but quickly gave up on that and settled for just the one thought and that was that, somewhat surprisingly, I’m old and I guess I’ve officially entered end game any time territory now so I came up with a cunning plan for when I move on.

With rapidly advancing years, posts will most likely lessen as brain and various other bodily functions fade away and when that stretches to me being a no-show here at all for thirty straight days just assume that that is it. I’ll either be gone or still here but confined to some place where you’re not allowed to run with scissors. Just play this toon, a bit o’ dirt music which seems fitting, that I’ll add, later, to the left side down-it-be-dropping music menu thingy. It’ll be, appropriately, at the end along with Cheerio.

You know wot? I’ll give you a choice:

Please don’t get too excited as I’m planning/hoping to be a pest for some time yet and while I’m still relatively compos mentis, and given there’s an outside chance that I’ll get to the other side and be ‘rewarded’ with life never-ending, I need to find myself a really enjoyable and hugely time consuming hobby to take with me.

NOTE: Whatever the ‘no post’ period may be, please don’t delete any bookmarks or RSS feed links as I also intend, depending how wrapped-up I get in my new hobby,  to do my best to let you know what it’s like where ever I end up. However, if I get some place ‘over there’ and everyone’s involved in some kind of cooking or baking competition, I’m coming straight back.

See how I cleverly used a bunch of badly linked words in poorly formed sentences as a vehicle to play three toons I like?  Happy Sunday evening and to cheer it along pop over to Darth Meerkat for the latest offering. Hay, Timidadians, only go in pairs, hold hands and tread carefully over there okay?
