We’re busy getting ready for further days of doom as the ‘news’ channels weather bits are in scary red depicting a bit o’ wind and a lot o’
rain. And it’s got a name. And that would be? Storm Babet. If we’re all going to be washed away shouldn’t it be called storm Bidet?
Anyhoo, much to be done here and at present we haven’t settled
on where to store the sarnies for when we go into hiding. Under the stairs away from the frightening wind or in the loft above the possible flood? Flood? Shouldn’t that be flud so’s it reads as it sounds?
Or shall we just carry on as normal through the incoming, close to normal, autumnal stormy weather? Damn! So much to worry about. Wot a world we’ve wound up in eh?
Quote; Maria V. Snyder.
“There's always another storm. It's the way the world works. Snowstorms, rainstorms, windstorms, sandstorms, and firestorms. Some are fierce and others are small. You have to deal with each one separately, but you need to keep an eye on what’s brewing for tomorrow.”
