And Then, Creeping Along...

The creepy bit below this bit I didn’t notice on the TV this AM o’clock as the ‘news’ was concentrating on the easing of some lock-down thingy or other and featured a little girl ‘reporting’ from a stable and telling me that the horses were so excited  at the prospect of having riders again. So excited were these horses, they couldn’t  even eat their breakfast... Not sure how excited the horses really were at the prospect of having to heave heavy herberts about who’d be constantly digging boot heels into their rumps and dragging a metal bar  about their mouths. All-in-all though, reporting of the highest order. On a par with this beauty over at Ambush Predator. Hell, it got past the spill chequer.
Anyhoo, no, not that bit, but this bit; those pesky over seventies, with certain health conditions MAY have their cars fitted with a tracker and
their driving limited to thirty miles with a no-go in the dark. Certain health conditions? You hear that sound? A bell gently tolling sort o’ sound? Softly, softly catchee old anti-vaccees? Certain health conditions? No Jabba-dabba-do? Sell your cars you filthy old plague transporters.
Ready for the interviews with the minister responsible for elderly driving? How will that go? Well, we know don’t we? The reply to questions regards, will there be any co-co conditions included in the ‘certain health conditions’? will start with a smile to suggest it’s a stupid question, followed by a well practiced, well rounded, ‘Well,’ followed by a disjointed and confusing reply  that’ll include several ‘buts’ interspersed with many an ‘er’, assuring one and all that imposing driving limits on those of an age who also declined the chemi cocktail was not being considered as a health reason.
Upon ending, and after a suitable pause, there’ll be a hand raised to mouth, a cough and a muffled, ‘at this time’.
Then, after a suitable – but short - passage of time, it will come to pass... Never going to happen, right? Right?

“Attempting to constantly control everyone and everything around you is not only exhausting it’s also futile. The only real power you can achieve in this life is being in control of yourself.”
