And Then The Plan…

Still here with little to tap out in these crazy times.
Typing of crazy, I’ve been considering this Net Zero energy game. Seems to me that a phew years ago some smart dude up there formulated a huge money making game for themselves and their bestest buddies. That plan was accepted and a plan put in place - climate change - to scare the gullible down here into accepting their unspoken money making plans. So cunning were the plans that those up there still get shed loads of our money even when its too windy or not windy enough or the sun don’t shine. A true winner for those up there, eh?
Net Zero? This gang presently ruling over us ‘promised’ to bring our energy bills down by £300 thus winning many, many votes.
Wot’s happened? Energy bills have gone up and up so it’s now obvious that getting to the fabled Net Zero actually means us down here, owing to rising costs, will soon be close to net zero energy usage whilst those up there stay cosy counting their money.
Power-up to cook food? Funnily, foods also on the ever up curve. Anyhoo, can you still afford food after paying for your family of three or four for their monthly ‘smart’ phone contracts? Yeah, right. Heat or eat soon to become heat, eat or be ‘socially’ available.

And Then, An Idea…

We’re presently obeying instructions given to us via our televisual receiving device. And that would be? Why hunkering down - again - in the cupboard under the stairs as temperatures may ‘surge’ into the low thirties centigrade thus heralding the end of times for the elderly.
Whilst hunkered here, frantically rubbing on sun screen just in case the door bell rings, I had a thought regards warm nights.
As air conditioning isn’t a thing here, keeping cool of a night is pretty much down to noisy fans and that sowed the seeds of an idea.
If you’re of an age, just cast your mind back to cold nights and our old stone hot water bottles. Then technology advanced and along came the rubber jobbies. Then, many years later, came the magic of lekky blankets. So here’s my thought:
We all know how technology is advancing so dramatically year by year - nay, day by day so why haven’t any of those wondrous tech folk come up - with global warming being relentlessly pushed - come up with a lekky blanked with, rather than the standard three warming settings, one with six settings? Yup, three winter clicks from warm to warmer and very warm and three sweaty summer cooling clicks from cool to cooler to cold. A fortune to be made with the help of the scary media eh?  Say wot now? Lekky only makes stuff warm? I guess you haven’t got a refrigerator yet then.

Addendumadodad; If y’all get an idea, always Giggle it before typing. Not quite my ‘simple’ all in one idea but... Try it, just Giggle electric cooling blanket and browse away. Oh, and do it in the shade, okay?

Quote; Woody Allen.

And Then Just A Clip…

Seems a bit o’ bad news broke last week with the fact a very big car rental outfit was off-loading twenty thousand lekky cars in the States owing to lack of take-up and replacing them with petrol cars. I missed that on the TV ‘news’ over here though. Not a good message for the environ-mental hippies or those net zero zealots eh?
Shortly thereafter - thanks yet again to a link in amongst the comments over at
Going Postal - I spotted this clip. I’m sure the BBC will be all over that in the... oh, never mind.
One more thing missing is any ‘news’ of those just stop oil folk protesting on the front lines of the various bits of bother going on just now. Just imagine wot all those big bangs and big fires are doing to our fragile{?} climate. They really should be over there glued in front of tanks, missile launchers and on runways right? Say wot now? It’s so much safer glueing yourself in front of an ambulance over here?

And Then Well Said….

Nice comment on that diary wot belongs to Sir John Redwood this morning. Soon to be discussed on the MSM no doubt. Pardon?

November 7, 2023
I have visited the Maldives again and can confirm that after 35 years the sea level has not risen by so much as one centimetre.
The level of the high and low tide on the harbour wall came up to the same steps as it did when I was in my 20s.
I blame the climate for not doing what politicians want.

Quote; Karl Pilkington.

“They keep saying that sea levels are rising an' all this. It's nowt to do with the icebergs melting, it's because there's too many fish in it. Get rid of some of the fish and the water will drop. Simple. Basic science.”

And Then Wot To Believe….

I see one of our main airports had to shutdown owing to a major fire in a short stay car-park. Early daze but already there are conflicting reports on wot started the fire. First out of the box was a lekky car overheated whilst being charged. With recent incidents of lekky cars catching fire, I can go along with that. However, as we are all obliged to go lekky in the coming years, this could be bad news for the already falling sales and rising insurance of said lekky cars. The answer? The media are now suggesting the fire started in a filthy, planet destroying diesel car. And we all know how prone they are to instantaneous combustion don’t we...
If indeed it was a lekky car, that adds another thought to consider when planning a trip to town to brows the shuttered shops on the high street with the only available parking being in a multi story car-park does it not?
In other ‘news’, after watching a bit of early morning BBC TV, I see that, slowly, slowly, they’re starting to side with the plight{?} of the Gazy gang. No surprise there then.
One thing’s for sure; it’s a war and, way down here as was ever thus, there’ll only be losers so let’s have these two oldies again:

Quote; Chinese Proverb.

“The fire you kindle for your enemy often burns yourself more than them.”

And Then We’ll Boil...

...or freeze, I get a tad lost in the direction the climate is taking owing to our reckless human activity, owing to him wot would rule over us easing his foot off the accelerator a tad on our/his speedy journey towards net zero - or as us down here know it, net winter warmth and net car. It’s amazing to see the MSM can only find climate cultists to offer hysterically screeching end of times comments regards these minor delays on the road to misery. That would be our misery, not for those up there of course.
Anyhoo, giving that no never mind, a little shopping this morning found us popping into one of that supposedly posh supermarket chains places for yet another example of the direction of travel we’re all now on.
Since our last visit I noted they’d installed ten self service checkout points. Guess wot? Not one that will take money. All only take card and, new to me, phone payments. So we moved on to another chain and found ourselves at a manned, sorry, lady manned cash-out thingy but stuck behind a fellow attempting to pay using his phone. This is true, it took him fifteen minutes to make a twelve pound payment.
We paid and I glanced back to see a quite considerable queue and noted many more had their phone at the ready. Wot’s that all about then? Looks like folk wot lose their phone these days is akin to us old folk losing our wallet in those days. If I ever find a smartphone on my ambles I’d be tempted to attempt a mega shop with it. Just do wot I’ve seen others do and that would be to keep tapping the screen and pointing it at the till until the till goes ‘ting’...

And Then, It’s Only Money...

Well, I see Rich-Boy Sad-Sack is giving another shed load of our money - yup, it’s our money - to combat that heating and cooling cycle of the sun. During these times of that cost of living crises and his ‘pledge’ to half inflation I can only assume it’s not actually our money, as we don’t have any spare anyway, but, him being such a believer, it’s actually one point six billion of his own money, right? Oh...
    And those that would rule over us have folk on huge salaries to advise them on all things financial? May I humbly suggest ‘they’ just use Giggle search to figure out if this use of our money is going to be, like, awesomely, like, cool;
Debt is the total amount owed by the Government which has accumulated over the years. Debt is therefore a much larger sum of money. At the end of 2022/23 public sector net debt was £2,530 billion (i.e. £2.5 trillion), which is equivalent to 100% of GDP. This is equivalent to around £38,000 per person in the UK.
Regards the ever changing climate and the cost to counter it, I cant believe the eye watering money being thrown at it. Just a note to those up there. For centuries past it’s been handed down from the elderly to the youngerly that when the sun is in a warming cycle, remove some of your voluminous outer garments and when the sun goes into a cooler cycle get those outer garments back on. That worked. Cheap seasonal simplicity.
It’s now going to cost one point six billion plus to teach folk that ol’ trick again? Really? Or is it just passing kelly through the laundry? I’ll bet you can bet your last pound it is...
I’ll close with a couple of clips. Bu-by.

And Then We Get It...

Get wot you may ask. Well, so, a couple of daze ago we finally go to experience, first hand, that dreaded global boiling. This manifested itself in the form of mid teen temperatures and three hours of heavy rain late afternoon. And? Well, wot brought home the boiling bit, this being August an' all, was that during this rain storm we got ten minutes or so of heavy hail with clear hail stones the size of bloody marbles. Man, wot a noise it made against the windows. I haven’t seen hail like that for many a long year. I shudder to think wot the hail would’ve been like if we weren’t, like, in this global boiling thingy.
Anyhoo, as for that mug shot of Trumpton wot seems to be dominating the media mind, I thought you may like the video below complete with another Trumpton image.

And Then A Quote...

I ran into another ‘you are here’ pic yesterday and along with word regards the one day number of our newest bestest ever friends arriving, it all reminded me of a comment I stole from I remember not where a while ago and wot I may have put up before. It needs spreading far and wide.
“Politicians tell us that, for some reason, it's impossible to stop humans from crossing a defended border, but it's perfectly rational to believe we can control the natural heating and cooling cycles of the earth. Do they even listen to themselves?"

Further to the above, we’ve had a phew sunny daze here but the MSM have done their job and we’ve been too scared to sit in the garden owing to the threat of global boiling and the good chance our garden and surrounds, heavy with trees and bushes as it is, could spontaneously self combust at any moment. As it’s reportedly happening the world over...
Fancy smiling a while? The cat’s in the cradle eh? Can’t embederate as it’s one of they
X thingies so just do the clicky thingy
on this bit wot’s underlined. Seems Blogger don’t like blue for hyperlinks.

Quote; Arnold H. Glasow.

And Then, What’s Next...

The more I watch the ‘news’ – yeah, I know – the more I’m sure there’s a violent impasse on the horizon. How so? Well, so, on the one hand we have these animal rights folk wot seem to have been watching the ‘news’ and realised all sorts of groups for this, that and the other are kicking off all over the place so are thus doing likewise.
Wot’s going to be interesting is when Ireland starts culling two hundred thousand cattle along with Holland is it?
You see a clash of protest groups there? The save our animals gang on the one side and the cult of do anything to save the planet gang on the other. That’s assuming the save the planet disciples agree that killing two hundred thousand cattle will change the natural heating and cooling cycles of the sun to earths advantage. I’m guessing the science is still out on that one... Interesting daze ahead, eh?

And Then, A Read...

The world’s going mad but, for now, all’s quiet where we be so I just dropped in to leave a couple or three links.
The first is to a really good read at Going Postal
regards the climate game that’s being plaid out before our eyes. Here’s the beginning bit:
”As we reach the end of a long winter that saw snow remaining on the hills until mid-April, we might address the science behind global warming. Not a phoney cause and effect claiming a 0.04% concentration of carbon dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere has an effect upon the weather, but rather the real measurable reason behind the global warming issue – one that lies between the ears.”
And that reminded me of a comment I copied – only for a little while you understand – from whence and by whom I forget, with apologies, wot do get more relevant with every passing day:
"...that attempting to stem or "thwart" the current levels of immigration was impossible; that it was just a fact of life." Politicians think that, for some reason, it's impossible to stop humans from crossing a defended border, but think it's perfectly rational to believe we can control the natural heating and cooling cycles of the earth. Do they even listen to themselves?"
The second link is further to the post regards the breaking and repairing of Flimsy Fox and contains more precise instructions to fixing it. That is unless you don’t mind where the Tab Bar is located of course.
Finally, a little light relief as you watch a bit o’ Twatter.
So, it wasn’t only the NHS, blessed be its name, that danced co-co time away then. Ah shacks ma heed...

And Then, Not Long Now...

I caught the ‘news’ this morning, supplied by the Breathless Broad-costing Comics and was terrified, terrified I tell you, to hear that some scientists had completed their climate research and declared something along the lines that we only have ten to twenty years to save the planet as it’s getting hotter.
One has to wonder if these are the same scientists wot told us – was ten or twenty years ago? – that we only had ten or twenty years to save the planet. Guess wot, here we be with another ten or twenty years ahead ‘till the next doom laden warnings. Spooky eh?
   Worth a look here.
Let’s give all that no never mind and be happy for those scientists who, I’m sure, have secured their doom finding funding for a further ten or twenty years, eh?

And Then A Thought...

And this thought was triggered by a comment by Doonhamer – well done as thinking in this old head ain’t easily triggered these days - regards those pretending to be concerned about that climate change thingy whilst zipping hither and thither in naughty climate disrupting aircraft.
Thus I thought, could one of they balloons wot are in the ‘news’ belong to little Greta Thunballoona publicising her wonderous planet saving credentials by gliding from climate protest to climate protest by balloon? Happily held upon high by her own hot air?

Quote;  Barbara Kingsolver.

“When moral superiority combines with billowing ignorance, they fill up a hot-air balloon that's awfully hard not to poke.”

And Then, Wot To Say...

Yeah, I know you’ve probably seen this but never mind, here it is again, okay? Yet more scary tin hattery, right?

And to follow that, have a look at this. See? They’re coming for everything and everyone.  Wot a miserable way to spend your valuable time here when there’s so much to enjoy as you pass along the all too short road of life.
Looks like we’re rapidly approaching a time when enjoyment and happiness will be banned and only misery and fear of tomorrow will be tolerated.
Remember my post regards the anti this and anti that folk? Applies to so much more as time goes by does it not? Thus I repeat myself:

Some people will choose to smoke and drink. Some will die youngish, some will die very old. Some folk will choose to eat a lot of what they like, some will die youngish, some will die very old. This could go on for ever with everything, right?
Then there are those who will live what the state decrees to be a safe, protected and healthy lifestyle. Surprisingly, some will die youngish and some will die very old.
However, it’s a 100% certainty we’re all going to die and as the last lap gets underway, some will be wondering what they missed and why, while others will be wishing they’d done just that little bit more.
So to all you, “it’s bad for you! I don’t like it so you can’t do it, it’s not healthy so we have to stop it now!”  fellows, let me assure you that while you’re possibly just passed ‘Go’ on life’s highway and it looks like a long, almost never ending road ahead with time aplenty to foist your pettiness upon others, try to take on-board wot’s below....
Trust me, when you get to my end of the road two things will become obvious. One, it’s cluttered to hell an’ back with tin cans and two, when you look over your shoulder, back down the road of life, you’ll be amazed at just how short a journey it actually was. Then you’ll realise, too late, what a complete and total waste of your brief time it was being so miserable, hating the enjoyment of others and trying to foist your misery on those who had a little zest for life and were attempting, against all the odds, to enjoy their brief moment in the sun
.

And Then Two Clips...

Well, so, the last post would seem to have avoided two factor login by Giggle so let’s see if it holds up if links are included.
Yet again, thanks to commenters at Going Postal for sharing these two items.
And the links would be? A
CNN climate change believer getting his ass handed to him and the second is the leader? of the free world who is now my bestest hero. His error you think? So hard to tell with that old fellow is it not?
Addendumadodad: Or was it a bit o’ sarcasm aimed at climate change disbelievers?

And Then, An Appeal...

Seems gas and lecky will be unaffordable come Octebuary with the real possibility of blackouts. Scary? However Octebuary is far away so wot can we frighten folk with right now? Whoa! Polio in the water!
No need to be all that frightened as ‘they’ may have got the wrong scare right there as ‘news’ of this is quickly followed by drought warnings...
   With these scary ‘warnings’ of a drought, how long before we get charity adverts on the TV? Something along these lines;
Six year old Suzie Smithers should be at school but she has to walk over a mile, several times a day, in the blistering heat, to get water for her family from the nearest neighbourhood standpipe.
It shouldn’t be like this in one of the wettest countries on the planet so a donation from you will help us dredge all those rivers, streams and brooks that’ve been allowed to block-up in order to save the newt so we at the charity, No More Newts, can give little Suzie’s family, and countless others across our country, the chance of clean, newt free water coming out of their taps again.
Please contact HMRC today to volunteer a personal tax increase of as little as one hundred and fifty pounds per month for on-pass to No More Newts to help us make stand pipes a thing of the past – and newts... You know you want to. Thank you very big on behalf of little Suzie
. And our CEO...

And Then, For Our Time...

While browsing the comments that nobody reads over at Going Postal yesterday, I bumped into this below from a fellow with the name sileic – suppose I’d better apologise for assuming gender – that we should all take onboard...
I've just got sun burnt even though I'm wearing factor 50. I wear it to protect you so please wear your sun cream to protect me.
I'm blessed to be triple sun creamed or it could have been much worse.
The new variant of UV radiation is no joke guys. Please get sun creamed.

Please, oh please all you sun cream sceptics and conspiracy nutters, take that advice onboard  and smear yourselves head to toe multiple times as, I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s the right thing to do and if it saves just one life...
Looking to the media future of a melting planet, I see the need for a sun block passport and app. and possibly enforced lock-downs when the temperature gets to thirty four degrees. For our own good you understand.
Meanwhile, Where we be it’s wot, ‘till recently, would’ve been called a glorious summers day but in the wacky world in which we now find ourselves, it’s become a Defcon 4 danger to life extreme heat event that may overwhelm the NHS, blessed be its name. How sad it all is.
You’d be forgiven for believing things are all being orchestrated to insidiously instil maximum fear factors into the population  for some near future nefarious purpose.

Quote;  Bertrand Russell.

And Then, Trash...

I see with absolutely no interest that the Glastonbury music{?} festivities are over and, yet again, it’s amazing to see the amount of trash these seekers of fun have left behind.
I’d hazard a guess that the vast majority of attendees are adherents to the belief in that climate change thingy and are thus devout environ-mentalists. You know the kind that, if walking along the street behind a smoker, would throw a five-way fit if the smoker flicked a fag butt into the gutter. But that’s different...
I do hope little Greta Thumbelina stayed behind after her speech to help with the clean-up. Doubtful, as she has a long walk in front of her to get home, right?
NOTE: Please don’t misconstrue the use of the word ‘fag’ in the above context.

And Then Warm Weather...

Well, so, we’re finally getting some seasonally warm weather in parts of the country and folk are, so we’re supposed to  believe, screeching for guidance. Whoa! The sun’s come out, won’t someone please, like, hold my hand? I need guidance, assistance and comforting quickly. So wot do the govern-mental do? Why issue a level three Heat Health Alert of course. Really? A sunny day health alert? Yup, Really. I’d love to know their budget...
The media are helping of course by advising folk not to go out in the sun without first smearing their bodies with sun blocker; otherwise know as vitamin C blocker. Seems like only yesterday the ‘advice’ was to get out into the sun to boost your bodies vitamin C levels to help it fight-off the dreaded co-co does it not.
Anyhoo, as we ventured out, on a fourth level sally, into the killer daylight today we saw that almost all had castoff their outer garments to expose voluminous folds of flesh to the killer current-bun so it seems the message isn’t scary enough.
I see the need for a govern-mental smartphone app for that to possibly include some sort of scanning thingy to confirm you’re complying fully with all govern-mental warm day guidance before your permitted to leave the shelter of your home. Or better still, how about introducing warm day compulsory lockdowns? That’ll work.
Just one more in the almost daily parade of frighteners we’re becoming accustomed to I guess. Hay, look up there. You see that? No, it’s not a cloud; it’s the thumb we’re now living under...

And Then An Idea...

I see from the ‘news’ today that Mrs Bojangles is so, like, mortified after learning of the hurty words wot’ve been uttered about her possibly influencing the decisions of her tussle haired husband.
I sense another opportunity beckons. Remember all those years ago, all those Carry On movies? Is it time for a new block buster? Carrie On Minister...
I believe Bojangles has announced a stonking three percent rise in the state pension. That’ll work so much better than the pitiful amount that triple-lock thingy would’ve resulted in, right? Wot? Oh.
With everything heading in an upwards direction, I do believe I’ll contact some of my old drilling buddies and get ‘em to do a tad of free fracking in the back garden. Who knows?
Anyhoo, if successful, I’ll install a mini home processing plant in the shed and enjoy ‘free’ gas. I wonder how long it’d be before all those that protested most vociferously and tried to get the drilling stopped, started coming round to ask if they could please see if supply pipes could be run to their homes.
Talking of protesters, wot’s happened to those glue happy climate change folk? Have they discovered that after a busy day spent glued to the road, in the cold, they can’t afford to put the heating on when they get home to thaw out? That’d be poetic would it not?
Further to the cunning idea of charging electrickery cars via exercise bikes, why are the big boys possibly after Peloton if everyone’s gone back to the gym? Who knows? Was it something I typed? Spooky eh?
