And Then It’s Over...

...for now. What’s over? That French battle of the boys bulging ego and it’s been fascinating seeing our MSM hopping about in delight and relief that Macaroon has been elected chief cookie of France with a vote of sixty percent of the two percent who rolled out to vote. Or something like that. Damn! Where’s that human calculator, Divide-by-Abbott, when you need her?

Talking of Abby, I see she still thinks Jerry Carbine, who’s just hailed Karl Marx as a 'great economist’, can win our election on the forty-twoty of Septebuary. Looking at France, she may well be frighteningly right.

And the award for the comment of the moment, at the above link, goes to:
KevinBailey
“THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY IS FAR FROM PERFECT... THE LABOUR PARTY IS FAR FROM REALITY...”

Isn’t it sad that when you cast an eye over those who rule over us and those who wish to rule over us, that you come to the conclusion there are probably foreigners cleaning cars who could do a better job. How about job reversal? No chance. Would you trust a politician to clean your car? Would you let one lose with a high pressure water lance anywhere near your car? Or even a shammy leather come to that.

“Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion.”

Instantly recalls the 'Maigret' theme.

Anonymous,
A few things went wrong last night. Firstly, I saw your comment just before I retired for the night. Secondly, I hunted for the Maigret theme played on the accordion as indeed it was. Thirdly, upon finding many, I played one and that sucker got stuck in my head ‘till dawn.
I hope you play this link and sleep well tonight...

I have bad news for you. The only known cure for Maigretism is to listen to the theme from 'Tales of the Unexpected'.

PS I liked the one where there was the bet to chop off the finger.

I’ve mentioned this before a long time ago regarding ear-worms but this has to be right up there near the top.

You are a most gracious host!
I went to see Kathy Lesurf singing in The Albion Band somewhere in Kent; too many beers ago to remember where exactly.
Cheers.

Anonymous,
Thank you very big for your kind words; I’m happy to ‘help’ and thank you for taking a look into the Foggy Mirror. We do need a little light to filter into these grey days.
