And Then A Little Magic...

Firstly, my apologies to A K Haart for not responding to his comment the other day regarding a sweet tooth. I rarely look backwards and rely on Google to notify me of any comments. They didn’t. Mr Haart, I know the tooth feeling as, with advancing years and the hypnotic effect of gazing at the dentists tool belt while having a six monthly check-up and then leaving and finding one less obstruction for my tongue, I do know what you mean. But I still love ice cream. And pancakes with syrup. And... I must stop; space is somewhat limited.

In other ace reporting of the news I see they’ve got the semi-sub Transocean Winner on her way, again, to the scrapyard. You can catch-up on the news here but the bit that caught my eye was this bit: “Semi submersible heavy lift ship, the Hawk, was rising out of the sea with the rig on her deck.”  Rising out of the sea? The heavy lift vessel, with a rig on her back, was rising out of the sea? Now I appreciate that since I left the oil patch huge advances have probably been made in the rig moving business but I honestly wasn’t aware that they’d actually got to the stage of levitating dry tow vessels.  If that isn’t the case, and I have my doubts, just who was running that operation? Was it that illusionist fellow David Copperfield then? Rising out of the sea? Journalism? Oh dear me.

In other news I see the BBC is salivating over boy-type naughty comments the Donald made some many years ago any you know, you just know they’re not going to let it go. Ever. So here’s a song you may not catch on Auntie. It’s a toon from over the pond but all you need to do is just ponder on the lyrics. They work everywhere.

To conclude, here’s a quote sent to me by a very old and dear friend which I find is attributed to one Mike Bechtle, and should be the last thing to pass through all our minds the moment before we put our cross in a box during any and all elections: “They can't drive you crazy if you don't give them the keys.”

Quote;  Dave Barry.

“Thanks to my solid academic training, today I can write hundreds of words on virtually any topic without possessing a shred of information which is how I got a good job in journalism.”

No apology needed. Pancakes with stewed apple and syrup are good too. The apple makes it seem more healthy so you can add more syrup.

A K Haart,
Perfect - but you missed a scoop of ice cream...
