Please accept my sincere apologies regarding yesterdays post and my failure to highlight, upon such an important date in our diaries, what her and I had excitedly planned by way of festivities while joining in, with other like-minded folk, the world-wide celebration of Earth Hour. Inexcusably remiss of me as it may have given you some great ideas for your own celebrations; although I'm sure you all had your own inspirationally exciting ways of recognising this important event.
However, to make amends, and for possibly noting down for use next year, here's a comprehensive rundown of what we did this side of the Foggy Mirror for Earth Hour. You ready? Pen and paper to hand? Here we go then. Oh, you've already guessed what we did. We did absolutely nothing; and guess what; we did nothing, brightly lit, with nary a hint of guilt. In fact, we had more of a sort of a Power Hour.
End of list.
Quote; Michael Crichton.
"You think man can destroy the planet? What intoxicating vanity. Earth is four and a half billion years old. There's been life on it for 3.8 billion. Mountain ranges thrust up, eroded away, cometary impacts, volcano eruptions, oceans rising and falling, whole continents moving, an endless, constant, violent change. Earth has survived everything in its time. A million years is nothing. This planet lives and breathes on a much vaster scale. We've been residents here for the blink of an eye. If we're gone tomorrow the Earth will not miss us."
