And Then An App Quiz….

Firstly, I'm pleased to see that the fear of fat, first put forward in the eighties, is now pretty much deemed to be rubbish.

I'm happy to report the past report didn't deter me from eating what I like. The fact that what I like happens to constitute copious amounts of fat is neither here nor there. However, one has to feel sorry for all those fellows who fell for the propaganda and have missed so many years of the enjoyment offered by butter, bacon and, oh, I don't know, fatty stuff you enjoyed eating. Go on, have at it again.

I say eat what you want, just add a sensible amount of exercise and you'll be fine. But that's only common sense. Me? I walk quite a lot and right now I'm up to about three miles…. What? Three miles a day? Are you nuts? A total of three miles since last October's wot I'm talkin' about. Hay, it's winter, remember?

Secondly, following on from the two recent highly technical posts, and to prevent complex information overload for the moment, please take some time-out and have a go at the quiz wot is below. I got it wrong by the way.

An App

Quote;  Noël Coward.

“I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.”

            Ellen DeGeneres

“My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the hell she is.”

Once I held aloft the champion's cup for a full-contact karate championship heavyweight title (back in the day when all was black + white and dinosaurs still roamed the earth) ... and now the only exercise I take is a damn good cough first thing in the morning. Eee - how are the mighty fallen :-)

We are back on butter these days. While eating at a cafe the other day I saw an old chap take ten of those little packs of butter for one scone. That's the way to do it.

Caratacus,
I maintain my fat is my youthful muscle now relaxing and taking it easy.
Every morning I swing my legs out of bed and do sit-ups. I do two; one to put on my left sock and the other for the right sock. I then lie down again for a couple of minutes to allow my heart rate to steady before doing that full standing-up almost straight manoeuvre.

A K Haart,
Usually you’re supplied with one of those goofy little butter things per full slice of bread or toast and have to beg the staff for more so’s you can coat more than just the crust.
