And Then There Was An Update….

Through forces I don’t yet fully understand, my copy of Windows Live Writer has automatically updated to version 2011. Time travelling laptop perchance?

Contrary to what some of you may believe, I don’t immediately embrace all new technology. If I’d been around way back then, and the guy in the cave next to mine recommended I go down to the mad guys cave and get a set of his new stuff, wheels, for my cart, I would most likely of stuck with my trusty set of oblongs.

Ribbons is a case like that. Live Writer, it being a bit of Microsoft stuff, now has that ribbon thingy along the top instead of drop-down menus. I’m sure I’ll get a grip of the ribbon, one day, but for the life of me I can’t see wot wuzz wrong with the ol’ droppy downers.

At the end of the day, as long as the font, font size and spell chequer work okay, I’ll be hoppy. Oh…

Couldn't see what was wrong with the old Amiga system frankly...

Here's me on Windows 7 something or other now, and I'm old enough to remember being Ink Monitor (and looking like an extra from a battle scene from "Braveheart" after a good mixing).

You do seem to have that happy knack of dredging up long-forgotten memories Mac!

Ink monitor eh? I did a spell as a milk monitor. Guess you reach an age when ‘looking back’ is the preferred direction.

Looking forward seems to bring visions of dribbling while basket weaving with a big blanket over your knees. I’ll be back where I started! No running with scissors, don’t get glue on your blanket an’ stuff - but will there be openings for cane and raffia monitors?
