And Then There Was Physical Exercise….

Depending on how the next couple of days go, some of you will be happy, some sad, some tempted to rub broken glass in their face and chew their knees and some checking on new destinations.

As it all unfolds, rather than constantly flicking through the TV and radio channels in the hope of finding better - worse news, depending on the news you want, why not just switch everything off and work it all out of your system with some good old physical exercise?

The suggestion here is more a long term proposition, but, nevertheless, is a good starting point and this is a good time to start. After only a couple of days you will be more physically and mentally able to deal with whatever the result may be.

You don’t need any specialist equipment or fancy kit. And who knows? You may get to enjoy it. Let’s be getting started with it.

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface where you have plenty of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there for as long as you can.

Do your best to hold for a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a little longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

Then try 50-lb potato bags and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight out for more than a full minute.
{I’m at this level now.}

Once you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.
