And Then, Yet Another Oldie…

This old one popped into my swede while watching the ‘news’ and seeing those rubber rafts are getting ever bigger
With the rising tide of people running away from Africa and seeking a home in Europe, and by definition, the UK, and many folk expressing concern that this is basically leading to population displacement/replacement, I have a cunning plan.
Let's stop all the whining and get a grip people. Why don't we just select an African country and let 'em all in; even send help with transport so's they can skip the risky sinky boaty bitty in the middle of their trip. However, and this is the cleaver bit, as they come, we go there.
Twenty thousand sleepy lagoons imported from there to here to equal twenty thousand ol' whitey exported from here to there. Over a relatively short period of time ol' whitey will be relocated down south the way with our survival and empire building instincts kicking-in big time.
First boat out should be loaded-out with entrepreneurs, engineers, builders, farmers, fishermen, drillers and miners just to kick-start the grand adventure and to draw up plans for the countries infrastructure. Roads would be a low priority as they will most likely be in better shape than the roads we'll be leaving behind. Also a contingency of the Royal Corps of Engineers to assist the RN guys get the docks up to snuff and the RAF guys upgrading the airports, the faster to export and import the two populations. Or import and export if you're still over here waiting your turn to go.
Is the entire indigenous population of this island welcome to our new home? You're kidding, right? This is a one-off; a new start building a country from the ground-up so we need to be a tad selective with who we can best live without.
Those NOT required on voyage would be, but not be limited to, the following:
Bed-wetting Timidadians and puritanians, no woke wobblers, nobody called Karen, Ant, Dec or Piers, no green goblins, no politicians or councillors of any political persuasion. No bureaucrats, civil serpents, any and all charity and quango employers/employees, tele-sales people, all teachers from primary right through to university level. No lawyers and members of the judiciary, anyone involved with or has any connection to the MSM, especially the BBC, with the possible exception of Sponge Bob. The Royal family? We'll choose and then give them the choice but if they come, they'll have to build their own homes using their own money and their own hands. And content themselves with just appearing on stamps and nothing more.
Seems to me it could be a win-win situation. Blank canvas, new start, full employment as we build our new country and harvest its abundance of natural reserves to be used and exported and a new industrial base based on the future. And the weather? It's guaranteed to be better than that wot we get up here.
Say what now? You'd like to go but you'd miss your fox hunting? Trust me, there'll be stuff down there for you to hunt but, unlike fox hunting, if you get it wrong you'll quickly discover you've become the hunted. Sorry? You're not up for that sort of challenge? You're not up for that sort of trip then.

And Then, 2087…

Firstly, I’m sure y’all are aware of the latest{?} scam, right? And that would be that all those phoney phone calls we get pose another problem. Pick the phone up and anything you say may be recorded then the bad folk use the sample to use that AI thingy to record fake messages for naughty purposes using you voice. So, use an answering phone but don’t use your own voice to record a not here, leave a message seems to be the deal. Can you answer or click on anything in perfect safety these daze
Anyhoo, seen the ‘news’? And that would be the date Ed silly-brain believes we’ll reach ‘our’ nut zero target. I feel Eddy hasn’t completed the sentence and it should be ...by 2087 we’ll be nut zero and back to 1898..
Anyhoo, here’s a clip of one of Eddies staff carefully explaining one of the benefits awaiting us in year zero.

And Then Not Gone Yet…

Well, so, it’s been a while but small tasks around the house have occupied my time and mind.
You’ll be familiar with those little tasks that, when younger, you’d fix on the spot right? However with ever increasing age firstly you think, ‘I can live with that’ then realise how many livable with minor problems there are so decide to get ‘em fixed. Thus another age ‘problem’ kicks in. Every little task took over my old head for at least twenty-four sleepless hours until completed. Anyhoo, all caught up now and I’m back in relax mode.
In other ‘news’ I see a bit o’ bother’s kicked off far away. You spot a spooky similarity of thought like wot I thought?
Some nut job awakes one morning here and decides this is the day they’ll head out with a long pointy jobby and attempt to do damage to those whose belief system they don’t believe in. However, if caught they will spend some time in a comfy prison with three hots and a cot before being released back into a life of unlimited bennies.
However, if a chap way up there tells some lad to get in his jet and go drop bombs on some folk whose belief system he doesn’t believe but gets shot down and caught, will he spend some time in a cosy prison before being released and sent home? Let’s think about that for a minu.. a second eh? I know, I know, it’s just a parallel thought wot popped into my tired old swede.
On a happy note I’ve just received notification of the rise in my state pension. Good news? Good news for the tax man. Give and take by the grubbyment once again.
More take away from the robber barons here.
Let’s give that no never mind as I also see those wot would rule and rob us have given themselves a five percent money hike. How cool is that then?
I also caught a bit about some folk been mortally offended by some word used by a sick fellow at wot I first thought was the bath-tub awards. This transpired to be the BAFTA awards; whatever they are. Anyhoo, have those upset folk ever given this a listen?

And I’m sure they’ve never tried this cheeky number; Timidadians please give it a pass and move quickly on...

And Then, Wot To Believe…

It’s been a busy time wot with one thing an’ another. Anyhoo, here’s a possibly unnecessary ‘warning’ to y’all.
Recently, I’ve been receiving an Email from LinkedIn with the same subject line, every two or three daze. No idea. Just delete. Then, out of the blue, I got an Email from an almost forgotten buddy I worked with a very long, long time ago asking for help stating he was very ill and unable to use the inter-web thus asking if I’d go up that big river online shop and purchase a phone voucher for an equally ill relation of his. He’d send details of where to send voucher details and he’d reimburse me right away. Yeah, right. Delete. Had one of those? Be on your guard; after a quick search on Giggle I got some
details here.
Then a phone call from my neighbourhood energy advisor. Yet another yeah, right.
Damn! Is anything safe these daze? Do you have to think through every call and mail you receive? Consider every clicky thingy you’re about to do? Short answer, yes... Suspect phone call asking questions? Never answer and never, never answer ‘Yes’ as they record all and can edit calls and possibly use ‘yes’ for other nefarious purposes.
Net result? Just in case, It all brought forward the annoying, time consuming, various critical password changing task.

And Then, Tomorrow…

Well, so, here I am looking forward to tomorrow with great excitement as it will be the occasion of my seventy-eighth year on earth.
We have a huge party planned to be attended by just myself and my little nest of vipers. Yup, that is it. There will be a grand opening of my birthday card, thanks proffered then a snooze on the sofa.
Will I look back? I guess so as looking forward isn’t that exciting when an age is reached.
And just in case I don’t show up here very regularly may I take this opportunity to wish y’all a very happy Easter. Pardon? Oh, right, happy that as well.

And Then I Repeat…

Upon awakening to the shocking ‘news’ of the train stabbings, I’m waiting for the ‘official’ translation of the incident once the damage limitation department has it sorted and it’s blamed on a catastrophic software error on a ticket inspectors ticket punching machine.
May I humbly repeat myself? Thank you:
Oh to live on an island with easily protected borders An island rich in deposits of coal, natural gas and oil
thus enabling the government to ensure the population they were elected to protect and serve, can live in safety and have secure, readily available, reasonably priced energy.

Quote; A K Haart.

“This soggy word salad is merely bureaucracy, nothing to do with the world beyond the bureaucratic bubble of meetings, resolutions, agendas, posturing, announcements, brochures, discussion papers, media briefings, logos, NGOs, quangos, lectures, strident finger-wagging, virtue peddling, overseas travel and more meetings. Then even more meetings.”

And Then Another Thought…

Following on from yesterday and Mirage’s plan for the need to renew all Indefinite Leave to Remain visas and to deny renewal to any and all wot are on bennies thus saving the country money, a question worth asking would be wot will happen to these folk when they get back to their home countries with nothing? Expected answer would be, “Well, many will have family to help them.” Thus missing the second sentence wot’s, “And many wont.”
So how many of these countries, seeing a large increase in folk asking for help and costing them a shed load of money, will see the answer thus; Let’s find all Brits here, rescind their visas and send ‘em all home, okay?
Thus many will come back with no family to help - or, owing to budget restraints, can’t help - with no money or just a small state pension as it was frozen a little bit after a while ago as they lived overseas. Wot will be their first step? Claim full pension and make a beeline to bang on the bennies door of course.
The phrase swings and roundabouts spring to mind.

And Then A Holiday…

I see Trumpton is having a short holiday over here. Nice meal, a copter ride that needed five choppers, a trip in a stagecoach and a couple of mega motorcades. I bet that lot cost you and me a tidy phew quid, eh?
In other ‘news’ I see some high tech outfits are going to invest many billions in computer centres over here. I do hope they’ve figured out where the lekky’s going to come from to keep ‘em lit. Or will they have their own windmills until we go New Clear? Oh, did you see the bit wot I did, and remember not where, wot said our energy bills will go up a hundred quid next year to help Ed Sillyband on our road to his green and dark land
Anyhoo, it seems these new computers will be used to further advance artificial intelligence. Just a thought but aint it a shame we can’t find a little loose change to fund the advancement of natural intelligence in young folk? Is the future going to be a computer generated world we’ll all ‘live’ in?

Addendumadodad; Firefox just updated to 143. Guess wot, extension shortcuts added to Toolbar aint there and won’t stay if ‘added’ no more. If something works, let’s mess with it, eh?

And Then, That Is It…

My prolonged period of mourning for a close, very close family member is drawing to an end and I’ll be back in action here when I have any rubbish to tap out on the tap-top.
However, there may well be another short period of silent mourning for this once nice country... Bear with me.
   Oh, and bu-by
Ange, it’s been a none event not knowing you.

And Then, I Remember…

Watching our world unravel at an ever faster pace I was reminded of something I heard in passing in the galley on a rig some time ago. In fact it now feels like a hundred years ago. Anyhoo, slightly adjusted, it sums up things quite nicely regards the state we’re in does it not?
Those wot would rule over us have all had the best, first class educations available. In fact they’re so clever they could tell you the cubic capacity of a jar of pickles with just a glance. However, sadly, not a single one of ‘em has any idea how to get the lid off.

And Then Almost…

Still here and may I humbly pass along my sincere best wishes to Head Rambles. Take care as best you can my friend.
Anyhoo, I’m sure I’m not alone that, when some scam comes to light, thinking the folk that fall for them are stupid for falling for such obvious{?} scams. Guess wot, I now have sympathy for old folk wot fall for iffy E-mails.
Recently, we’ve been waiting for delivery of a small package from a land far, far, far away when I received an E-mail, purportedly from Royal Mail, alerting me to the fact that a package delivery had been attempted but failed owing to the package been incorrectly addressed. The mail asked me to click on the web address supplied, enter our correct name and address and pay two pounds via bank card for redelivery. As we were expecting a package my finger was sweeping towards clicking the link when a bright light flashed in ma old foggy heed and instead I hit delete.
Later, after a bit o’ Giggling - not much required - it was indeed found to be a scam but given our situation, waiting for a package, it was a close call thus my change from calling the elderly wot fall for such scams utter nutters to offering sympathy as, dependent on folks circumstances at the time, how easy it is to do a quick clicky thingy in the hope of a resolution to ones present ‘problem’.
Addendumadodad; Package received next day.

And Then A Message…

I’m guessing that if you didn’t watch all of Steer Calmer’s New year message, you caught clips on the news{?} channels, right? Well, so, the verbal message was as expected; Blah, blah, blah; but did you, unlike the media, spot the visual message? So wot was he wearing on a chilly winters day? Yup, there he was in open necked shirt, sleeves rolled-up thus presenting the message to all the elderly and others watching whilst huddled for warmth in woolly blankets that, unlike them, he had his heating on high, high.
Wot kind of 'caring' message does that project then? And if ‘they’ can’t get a simple bit of thought process together on the implications of a simple visual message, wot hope have we that they’ll get the tough bits right, eh?

Quote; Billy Connolly.

“There's no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes.”

20 Dec 2024

And Then Anther One Gone …

Yup, my birthday tomorrow so we’re spending today planning the big party. It’ll be attended by - oh, my little nest of vipers and myself.
Wot to do? We thought of going out for a nice lunch but then compared the cost and decided to stay home and have the heating on for thirty minutes. Thank you Steer Calmer.
Energy? Y’all seen this piece regards Ed Minibrains ‘plans’? Better still, has Ed Minibrain asked a
grownup to read it to him?
Well, so, I see things are going up in price including that stuff wot falls out of the sky. Yup, water. Who’d a thought those rises in employers tax and a hop up in the minimum wage would be passed on to us down here, eh?
Anyhoo, as the years roll by at an ever faster speed something wormed itself into my old head. The lyrics, oft quoted here, become more relevant with the passing years and this number should be played by parents to their kids wot spend every waking moment head down in their smart{?} phones.
Modern pop music’s sunk to big depths since numbers like this were about has it not?
So true; ‘
Face piles of trials with smiles and keep on thinking free.’

And on the very remote chance y’all aint seen this festive number yet...

And Then He’s Back…

So Trumpton’s a winner. Wot happens here? I know, let’s go spray the US Embassy orange eh? Well done just stop oil.
Regards Steer Karmer I see he’s slapped some nasty taxes on a goodly percentage of our farmers so is he now just stop soil? Never mind, the young folk, thanks to our wondrous education system, don’t care as all they see is just a house in a really big garden and anyhoo, the shops are always full o’ food, right? But where does it come from then? Errrr...

And Then It’s Been A While…

And why would that be? Well, so, the desire to, like, spend afternoons tapping out stuff on this here tap-top has moved into the things wot are not important at the moment. Anyhoo, how could anything I type here compete with the total bedlam out there?
Fear not, if something finds a way into this old head I’ll be sure to post it here but for now I’ll leave you with the new national anthem. Bu-by for a while longer...

Quote; Helen Keller.

14 Sept 2024

And Then, Confused…

I believe I caught a bit in the ‘news’ the other day that Steer Calmer was planning to allow a vote by those wot would rule over us regards assisted dying. Now I apologise if I’m wrong but I thought this had just been voted on and passed via the cancellation of that winter warming pittance thus terminating many elderly and possibly others.
Anyhoo, I see all is not lost on the warming front as Starmageddon is sabre rattling Vlad the Lad. Is this another cunning plan? When it kicks off we’ll all be warm for a while as we slowly melt?
Newclear fallout? Hay, all you climate change nutters, put that in your pipe and smoke it - as you get smoked.

Quote; Bernie Sanders.

22 Jul 2024

And Then A Comment…

   ...was left a little bit after a while ago regards moving our population by Andy 5759;
“Oh Mac, that made me laugh. I've often fantasised about such a scenario. The only drawback would be exchanging the slugs here eating my seedlings for the elephants trampling everything over there. We can dream but in the end we have to live the lives we've got in the place we have. Until we ent got either.
May I humbly reply right here.
No problems there. With our unrestricted entrepreneurial freedoms, those that produce slug repellents will, in no time at all, have developed an heffalump repellent to be scattered round our new villages, towns and places of work.
Long term, the elephants will be gradually rounded up and shipped-out, monthly, to be landed on a beach near Dover with notes tagged to their feet claiming refugee asylum seeker status as they’re escaping from mistreatment in their home country. Send ‘em back? Where? Ha! Sorry, no documentation.
That should make the new natives - no pun intended - of the UK feel more at home while giving them a taste of what it’s like coping with big numbers of big gimmigrants and finding them some place to live and eat. Get out o’ that one then.Oh, when visa given they can demand their families are allowed to join ‘em, right?
This, of course, would apply to anything considered to be detrimental to our wellbeing or safety in our new home. Job done so let's party hearty...

Quote; Ivan Illich.

“Tools can rule men sooner than they expect; the plow makes man the lord of the garden but also the refugee from the dust bowl.”

11 Jul 2024

And Then A Ban Incoming…

In case you missed it, it’s on the ‘news’ that three ladies have been killed by a guy with a crossbow. Lo and behold, much screeching for a ban on bows but, as tragic as this news is, how many deaths a year by bow are there? Okay, not a lot. How about by suffocation? Quite a phew I’d guess yet pillows and cushions are still readily available. And strangulation? But it’s still legal, at time of typing, to have hands. Best not type about those pointy stabby thingies...
Anyhoo, the chap’s been caught and shortly, assuming it wasn’t a mental problem, a prison place will be required. But, but the prisons are all full, right? Oh, hang on Keith the Conqueror's going to turf many bad - of varying degrees - folk back onto the streets. That’ll work.
It’s the old story that’s always glossed over by those wot would rule over us and their tame media. The more folk you let in, the more of absolutely everything will be needed thus may I humbly repeat a challenge I put out there a little bit after a while ago.

So this is a simple illustrative challenge for those that must be obeyed:
Go off to work{?} one day and leave your front door open and a large ‘Welcome’ sign hanging on your front gate. I’m betting you get a shock upon returning home. Whoa! I opened the door and they came!
After a couple of days of your open door, all welcome policy, you’ll be surprised to find that using the kitchen and bathroom with the regularity and freedom you once enjoyed will have gone for some strange reason.
Soon thereafter you may well find yourself having to queue to use your own computer and having to be content with sitting on the floor in your lounge and even having to sleep on the floor in the hall. Eventually, sitting will become a problem and you may well just have enough room to stand at the back. Sadly, the standing room that enables leaning against a wall is all being used; it’s now only stand-up straight space.
In no time at all, you’ll no longer be able to get your car on the drive as it seems to be in continuous use as a hand car wash station. On the plus side, finding you have to park quite some distance away, the walk enables you to calm down a tad before entering what was once your castle but is now a multi-culti utopia.~
Your garden? Just a jungle as the last time you tried to do a bit out there, tiptoeing through all kinds of unsavoury looking stuff and strange charcoal cooking thingies, you lost your place in the proper toilet queue and wet yourself.
Eventually, after becoming a tad disconcerted with the rapid ever upwards trajectory of your electricity, gas and water bills and the dangerous load on some sockets threatening to blow you off the grid, you may well decide you’ve had enough and need to get everyone out and lock the door. However, when you finally come to take that action you’ll be shocked to find it’s too late as that’s when you’ll discover you’ve lost all governance of your own home and you are now in the minority.
And thus ends my miniature picture of our little bit o’ rock sitting in an angry sea.

Quote; Gore Vidal

And Then Nothing…

...at all going on where wot we be other than a couple of items wot caught my eye.
Firstly, I see GB-News has won three prizes for ‘news’ presenters and presentation. I can only assume that those censoring folk at Of-Cough will be absolutely apoplectic eh?
Secondly, some fellow, allegedly an actor, was caught - or acting? - using nasty racist language regards Rich-boy Sad-sack was it? From the little I’ve heard, he’s, like, an amateur actor so here’s a primer, wot we’ve had before, for him to take a phew more ‘naughty’ words on-board; four point three million views eh?
Timidadians, No clicky, move quickly on to new pastures pure.

And Then Shut Him Down…

I see the MSM are hyperventilating all over eneything and everything Nigel Mirage says so he’s obviously right over the target and needs shooting down right quick.
I do hope he’s taking extra, extra care when crossing the road and isn’t contemplating a walk in the woods on a warm day.
Interesting. Lifted from the comments, wot nobody reads, at
Going Postal. MSM incoming...
Typing of warm daze, I may be to blame. A phew days ago the car had a service and MOT check.
All passed; service, health check and MOT issued. Car returned late afternoon so the next day off to the shops. Oh the delight of modern motor engineering talent. Three tries to start it then engine vibrating and billows of black smoke from the exhaust. Garage towed it away and repairs could take at least a week.
Regards the exhaust, I do apologise if this was the cause of cracking the climate and causing the sun to make a showing thus lifting temperatures a tad for a while. Sorry... On the bright side, the nights will now be drawing in naturally.
Let's give all that no never mind. Right over target, right?
