Sadly, I’m old enough to remember, as I worked around the world, that calling someone from a different country or different ethnicity, by our nickname for them – and indeed being called by the nickname they had for me/us was just cause for smiles all round.
I remember when being chastised for doing a task incorrectly or taking too long just gave me pause for thought regards personal improvement. It used to be called learning.
Now? It’s all been hijacked by mad hatters to be racist and bullying. Can’t anybody walk tall any more?
It’s sad to see our World on a road to nowhere is it not?
As for all the strikes going on right now, you want more money? Go find it somewhere else then and remember you can be anything that you want to be, right?
Quote; J.M. Barrie
“Growing up is such a barbarous business, full of inconvenience… and pimples.”

First time I went to work in Aus some of the guys I was working with light heartedly called me a Pom. When I protested and asserted that I was a Scot, never more was I called that. Got on great. It helped that I could hold my drink better than any of them. Lovely people.
I found out later that what really annoyed them was British / English immigrants always whingeing (Thus the Whingeing Pom) Always saying something like "Back in the old country we would not do it this way."
Doonhamer,
I can well relate to all you say -especially regards holding your drink. It's so sad to watch the world unravel before our eyes.
