And Then, Loud Noises...

Having had enough doom and gloom thanks to co-co, climate and Afghanistarrrn, my little nest of vipers and I went for a meander in the motor round some quiet country back roads.
As we were cruising  along one such small deserted road, we noticed a strange whirring sound. We exchanged glances and thought, oh ho, car problem. As we motored ever onwards, the strange noise got ever louder and was joined by knocking and banging sounds.
Just round a bend we came upon a small village and by this time the whirring an’ banging noises were getting right loud. Just through the village was the picturesque village church with a driveway.
I pulled over and stopped the car. Guess wot? With some relief the now very loud whirring and banging wasn’t coming from the car and it seemed to be emanating from the ancient church. Phone at the ready in case some emergency service was required, I approached the church and listened at the door.
This confirmed the sound was definitely coming from the church.  I tried the door and unbelievably for these days, found it was unlocked. I stepped inside and very soon found the epicentre of the whirring and banging and I must say, I wasn’t really surprised.
So as you ramble round and you chance to hear the same as wot we did, check out any churches you see close by and, as sure as eggs is eggs, either in the graveyard or in the church you’ll find a grave or tomb  of a long since departed crusader who’ll be lying therein hyper spinning, banging about in rage and going totally ballistic at the recent news of their countries capitulation - and, to rub salt into their wounds, the offering of succour via refuge and/or vast wealth - to their sworn enemies. Where’er they may be.
Enemies that’ll  most likely now be emboldened and have a feeling of invincibility. Oh, how ya doin' New Zealand...
