They really do need to rethink their scary strategy soon as it’s all getting ridiculously predictable is it not. I mean who could’ve predicted that a Delta variant of co-co, that’s a super spreader amongst school kids, would popup in the UK at the same time the Phizzy chemi cocktail gets approved for use on 12 to 15 year olds? I mean how, like, awesome is that then? However, the comments to the second linked piece above are somewhat reassuring.
In other ‘news’ I noted, with total lack of surprise, that Portugal is now a colour other than green for Go. You folk glad you got punctured so’s you could come and go as you wish and carry on living normal, unrestricted lives? Sorry? Wot’s that you say? Whoa. Bummer; and you didn’t see that coming eh? Some interesting videos can be found here.
I was also saddened to see Afghanistan, or as the media folk pronounce it, with an ‘r’, Afghanistarn, is red listed. Damn! That’s likely many thousands of UK families summer holiday plans blown away right there... No pun intended.
Finally, more brain food provided by the good Ripper. It’s a long read but, hay, get there before the MSM are all over it. Oh, okay, here’s a taster:
A critical document which we found in 2010 was called Mindspace (you can find it very easily by searching online for it as a PDF document). In that document, the Government admitted that it was using applied behavioural psychology to influence how it designed policy and how it implemented policy.
At one particular point in that document—in fact, it’s at the bottom of page 66, if I remember correctly—the Government boasts that it can change the way people think and behave, and that people will not be aware that this has been done to them. But it adds the caveat that if they do realise that their behaviour is changed, they will not know how it was changed.
You think those that would rule over us are getting their grab bags ready for when they need to run and hide?
Nearly forgot. Firefox 89; are you a fussy old sod like wot I be? Want your tab bar back below the address bar? Just make a new one using all you will find here, Delete your userChrome.css from;
AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/*your profile*/chrome/
then paste the new one into the same place. Open FF and you should get it back like you like it. Worked for me.
