And Then, From The Past...

Did you see the BBC news this early AM? First they had a little girl ‘reporting’, all misty eyed and happy voiced, from a magic brew bottling plant and telling us how many doses of said vaccine they ship every day. See? Plenty of the magic potion out there so go get a shot, okay? No, NOW!
Cut to another little girl, standing in a street showing us a bunch of folk with BBQs loaded with sausages an’ such and folk with trays of cakes. Wot’s that all about then? Yup, offering free breakfasts to folk on their way home after a nightshift. A nightshift where you ask? An NHS, blessed be its name, hospital...
Sadly, that piece lost its heart tugging impact as they then cut to a hospital interior to highlight how stressful, both physically and mentally, a nurses job is under the present plague conditions. Sadly, running straight after the free food for hospital staff bit, the stressed and undervalued nurses all looked wondrously well nourished in a rotund sort of way.
To conclude, or to put it another way, let’s close with something George Carlin did a long time ago which makes you wonder wot his reaction would be to wot’s going down right now. The title of the piece? Germs, Immune System.
Warning to Timidadians; it’s George Carlin so there’s prolific use of some jolly naughty words. Other than that, it’s quite surprising how well he seems to have seen that the future was back then.

Quote;  Suzy Kassem.

“The gut is the seat of all feeling. Polluting the gut not only cripples your immune system, but also destroys your sense of empathy, the ability to identify with other humans.”

Agreed, but being public spirited people they walk slowly to avoid wearing the floor out.
