Well, so, we awake to a beautiful white winter wonderland. A snowy whiteness that we were assured by the ‘experts’, just a ew short years ago, was a thing of the past.
having said that, the post person has just tramped passed and his demeanour would suggest he isn’t thinking how lovely everything looks.
As you sit in the warm and watch the snow sailing gently past your window while you wonder round the wibbly wobbly web with the TV talking to itself in the background, spare a thought for others in other, less fortunate countries.
Imagine, if you will, living in a country with no, or, at best, a severely limited intermittent electrickery supply, a country where only the rich and elite have access to TV, the Inter-Web, computers and smartphones. No gas other than fighting for the last bottle of hugely expensive bottled gas. Imagine a country where you have to forage for twigs an’ sticks to fuel a small open fire for a little evening warmth and to cook a meagre meal. Probably in the dark. A country where only the rich and elite have personal transport and the people rely on bicycles, donkeys or their feet.
Imagine, if you will, living right here in the not too distant future.
Quote; Jamie McGuire.
“The snow began to fall again, drifting against the windows, politely begging entrance and then falling with disappointment to the ground.”
William Hamilton Gibson.
“Silently, like thoughts that come and go, the snowflakes fall, each one a gem.”

I don't know about donkeys as a mode of transport - we'll be eating them.
A K Haart,
A very good point and proves, once again, that I can't think things through. However, I feel I should be considered for an advisory position in government as being unable to think things through would seem to be a prime requirement.
