And so it came; shortly after lunch the phone did ring – an unusual phenomenon in and of itself – and upon answering I was informed it was the doctors and guess wot the call related to? Yup, a jab job. The conversation started thus:
Him, “I’m calling regards your vaccine injection.”
Me, “I’d like to respectfully decline that at this time thanks.”
There then ensued a lengthy one sided tirade as to why I really, really should have the jabby jobby and they’ll keep calling me ‘till I’ve thought it through, realised the error of my ways and have decide to accept. Actually, I made that bit up. It went like this; I ended my decline line and the response was, “Okay, bu-by.” And that was it.
On one level that gave me further pause for thought regards the whole Co-co thingy but on another level, he probably has a huge number of calls to make and his time will be spent sorting appointments out for they wot say ‘Yay’.
However, if this jab is as important as we’re continually being told throughout our waking hours, I would’ve thought the important calls would be convincing the ‘no’ voters to take the offer up.

“Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?”

Hi Mac. Sorry I'm late on this.
I got my call on Friday.
"Hello, this is so-and-so from the surgery. I'm calling about the Covid Vaccination. Do you want it?"
Not really thank you.
"Ok I'll note that down. Bye Bye."
Byeee
So far so good I thought, and I got to more thinking.
A cunning plan came to me for an intermediate line of defence, should it be necessary.
I'm sure I have heard that pregnant women are advised not to indulge in the jab. So I could self-identify as a pregnant woman. (In the BBC 100 genders saga, I'm sure I can fit in somewhere.)
Of course my baby will never be born (don't tell them that though) and so I can stay pregnant for ever.
Moral of the story being; Use their own stupid rules against them.
Think it'll work?
Rick
Rick,
" Use their own stupid rules against them." Perfect. Will it work? In these increasingly crazy days? You really need to ask?
Got to go now; I have an appointment at the maternity clinic...
