And Then It’s Almost Over...

That would be 2020 and what a rocky road that turned out to be. However, it’s looking like those that would rule over us are doing all in their power to make 2021 an even trickier obstacle course to sneak along.
2021 may be an advance numerically, but in real life terms we’re in reverse. Wot with bugs and climate and our leaders wish to power everything with wind thus doing away with just about affordable transport and home heating, things are looking grim.
Not so slowly we ease back to the days of no TV, no WiFi or computers or Web or Look-At-Media, no telephones – smart or dumb – no central heating, no electric blankets, no fridges or freezers. Back to the fun of fumbling around in the dark trying to find the matches to light the candles when the leccy periodically packs-up.
For us old folk, it sure won’t be comfortable but we’ll cope as we’ve been there before. However, how the younger generations will take to it I can only imagine. I’m quietly confident it won’t be along the lines of, ‘Oh well, let’s just make the best of it that we can then.’
With regards resolutions, along similar lines, listening to all manner of ‘experts’ on  the media, and their dire warnings and predictions for our future, pop over hear and note how various ‘predictions’ from the not too distant past have panned out.

Quote;  Albert Einstein.

“When the number of factors coming into play in a phenomenological complex is too large scientific method in most cases fails. One need only think of the weather, in which case the prediction even for a few days ahead is impossible.”

We may laugh now but wait 'till those up there see it and think, "You know wot? That's not a bad idea..."
