By way of a break from Co-Co flue and the lunatics running the ‘containment’ program of said cough, here’s something equally as surprising. And that would be? I actually ran into something on TV that I found watchable. Falls off sofa in surprise... It transpires it’s a re-run from 2018{?} and goes by the name of ‘Safe’. You may already have seen it and it seems it’s from an idea by Harlan Coben who writes pretty good thrillers, many of which I’ve read {for read, read red}.
Anyhoo, wot also grabbed my attention was the theme music which is below these typed characters. I found it on a Wibbly Wobbly Web site called YouTube and again, I may be well late to the table with this head invading ditty**.
**Seems so, as a little research would suggest this choon was released back in 2012.
Happily, unlike last night, no Timidadian warnings are needed, just a friendly word of caution. If your taste in music is similar to my eclectic taste, you may well play it several times. However, please don’t play wot’s below too close to bedtime as you’ll find the chorus locked in your head and playing in an endless loop and still going strong at wot should be wake-up time. Ting ting? Sorry; okay?
Quote; Oliver Sacks.
“There are, of course, inherent tendencies to repetition in music itself. Our poetry, our ballads, our songs are full of repetition; nursery rhymes and the little chants and songs we use to teach young children have choruses and refrains. We are attracted to repetition, even as adults; we want the stimulus and the reward again and again, and in music we get it. Perhaps, therefore, we should not be surprised, should not complain if the balance sometimes shifts too far and our musical sensitivity becomes a vulnerability.”
