I see that Steer Calmer’s having a spot o’ bother with his over-loaded mantelpiece. Nothing for us down here to concern ourselves with so just move quickly on
to something wot does concern an ever diminishing number of us down here. And that would be? The cost of the licence to allow us to use the televisual receiving device is going up again. Well, so, I now understand a little
better why this is required.
The other evening my little nest of vipers wanted to watch something and fired the box up. It lit up as the credits of a just finished quiz show were rolling along. Ever
watched those? Seems a program involving four folk on screen requires something aproaching a thousand folk behind the scenes. One ‘job’ wot caught my eye was that of the ‘Applause Coordinator’. See
wot we’re paying for?
Also, as mentioned before, if the BooBeCee is feeling the pinch, shut down all the money prize quiz shows, right? And, again as previously posted, I don’t see why us wot are here
should pay for this stuff wot’s free for folk far, far away.
