And Then It's An App…

Seems I was wrong in my presumption that the ‘proposed’ I.D. Thingy would require quite a bit o’ plastic. It was an easy mistake to make as on the day of the announcement the MSM used the phrase along with the digital I.D. Wording. However I’m still a tad confused.
Well, so, let’s assume your I.D. Will be on a smart{?} phone. Anybody up there mentioned to the Stammer army how many smart{?} phones are stolen, lost or dropped and broken daily? Thought not.
It seems that, first off, you’ll need this I.D. On your phone to get work. Will workers then need their phone to scan to clock on and off work? And you’ve just had it stolen? Use your passport or driving license? Sorry they are no longer proof of I.D. Quick, get a new phone, load the app from somewhere and again go through activating it using those documents again, passport an’ such wot are no longer considered proof of I.D. We been conned you think? Hello up there? Anybody home?
I suppose most young folk will be happy with this and are looking forward with excitement to the prospect of playing with yet another free{?} app on their phones.
   I’m guessing you’ve been
here, done that?

“I'll call it a smartphone when I yell, "Where's my phone?" and it yells back, "Down here in the couch cushions!"”
Addendumadodad; Seems we’re close to that quote now.
