And Then, A Break...

   And that would be a break from having a break and discovering, much to my amazement that there was exactly nothing on the televisual receiving appliance so I started the weekly house cleaning a day early and chose to clean the bathroom. Please note this was done in good time and did not involve, as suggested by those TV adverts, any singing or joyously skipping  around with a  goofy grin plastered across my puss. Why not? Because it’s a hateful task wot just needs doing with minimal to no fuss nor muss.
   Actually, the job itself is straightforward, the bummer is getting into and, on completion, back out of the hazmat kit...
   Anyhoo, as for the ‘news’ we’re allowed over here, I see Canada is now getting a grudging mention by the BBC and Sky  – and I must mention the good Ripper is keeping right up to date on the Canadian trucker protest – and it comes as no surprise to see the BBC manage to work the ‘far-right’ into their balanced reporting whereas Sky are going with the not so subliminal suggestion of war grave and hero monument desecration by those dastardly truck driving protesters.
   Yet more unnecessary proof that our media only serve-up, as I’m sure they’re instructed, ‘news’ slanted to be ‘on message’ that’ll be taken as gospel by the unenquiring masses.
   Yup, a Canadian TV channel has suggested that Russia is instigating this protest. Not sure where that leaves the BBC with their far-right... It’s a blue do indeed.
   And here’s a link hot off the Ripper comment line with information that, surprisingly, you ain’t ever going to see or hear mentioned on your TV.
   Giving all that no never mind, let’s finish with a very pleasant, relaxing number for Sunday evening that I’ll dedicate to all our ‘friends’ in the media, aptly named, ‘The Big Hush’. Sit back and enjoy.
