Budget all done and all the TV ‘News’ channels have been busy ‘interviewing’ members of the government to get their take on the take from you and me.
Unsurprisingly, all those interviewed thought it was a great budget. Then, totally unpredictable, Labour spokespersons thought it was rubbish. All in all, situation normal.
My one take away from all these words was from the question asked as to shouldn’t the rich have more of their money taken off them to ‘help’ the less well off? This resulted in lots of well, so, err levelling-up an’ such.
Not one of those being asked this question responded by asking when will all you hugely salaried media folk, who are continually crying regards the plight of the poor, be contacting the revenue office and asking for your tax codes to be adjusted to increase your tax deduction so’s to help the poor more? Question never asked but the answer known anyway...
Quote; George Bernard Shaw.
“A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.”
Tax Question:
Can I claim the voices in my head as dependents?
