And Then, A Ramp Up...

...of the fear factor. Are you just a tad more scared than you were meant to be last week? Good; the plan’s working then.
Seems there’s a one hundred thousand shortfall of fellows to drive trucks. That must mean there’s a hundred thousand less trucks on the roads. Is that not the bestest ever environmental  news or wot? Right up there with the dire lack of Co2 I guess. Just a couple of the things that are great ideas when little Greta Thunder-bottom, blessed be her name, screeches about them but a tad awkward in the real world wot most of us live in when they come to pass.
As for fruit and veg rotting in the fields, think wot it’d be like if we didn’t have, wot, a million? unemployed and desperate to do something, anything to make a buck to keep that smartphone contract rolling...
How about this then. How many dinghy dodgers are sitting in hotels? Why not get ‘em into the fields to help their chosen country, in this difficult time, and until they’re suitably vetted to stay or go? Go you say? Oh. Anyhoo, one assumes they’re ‘guarded’ in those four star hotels so use the same security folk to monitor ‘em in the fields. Hell, why not? Let ‘em earn their daily three hots, a cot and pocket money wot they get, right? And those wot refuse to give a little back? Take ‘em to the beach, give ‘em a dinghy and point ‘em at France.

As for all the scary stories and how we’re ‘destroying’ this minute speck o’ dust we live on, we really should give it all no never mind and get on with enjoying wot we have for as long – or short a time as we have according to yet another scary story.
I lean towards that more believable bit rather than the co-co and similar scary bits. Nothing’s forever is it? Not even our speck o’ dust hurtling about in the unbelievable vastness of space right next to a really, really big hot ticking bomb.

“In 5-billion years the Sun will expand & engulf our orbit as the charred ember that was once Earth vaporizes. Have a nice day.”
