And Then A Joyous Day...

Oh wot a day of unbridled joy and excitement mixed with a little mental anguish.

Firstly, the nonstop looping of an elderly lady being broadcast as being the first to get the Scooby-flue jabber-dabber-do.  Wot could possibly go wrong having something with unknown long term effects pumped into you eh? Good luck madam, I wish you well. Really, wot could possibly follow that for pure tear inducing joy?

This could. Imagine my unbridled excitement to find the government had paid ten pounds into my bank account. This is a Christmas gift, I’d forgotten all about, from them up thereto us folk of more mature years down here. That’s very nice of them but do they not realise the mental anguish this can cause some of us old folk as we wrestle with wot best to do with this unexpected windfall?

All that remains now is another two hundred dabs from the government us oldies get to help us keep warm for the one week of our choice, through the winter. I do believe this yearly payment will need a serious overhaul when that tussle haired Mad Madumba’s energy plans, staring wind, solar and thermal, start to bite. It’ll probably need increasing to something approaching two hundred dabs a week...

In other news, I see A K Haart is working hard towards winning the investigative journalist of the year award.

Thanks for the link. I see victims of the miracle jab have already begun to keel over.

A K Haart,
Always more than welcome. As regards the jab, well, who could've seen that coming... I wonder why the elderly are getting first shot eh?
