I was greeted today, early doors, by the news, somewhat played down amongst all the get your jab hype, that a couple of health workers who had the jab yesterday, got a tad ill and it was discovered they had allergy problems. When an ‘expert’ was questioned regards this and the rigorous testing that had been carried out, the answer ran along the lines of they tend not to use volunteers with allergies as they can suffer complications. So this rigorous testing isn’t done on anyone with possible underlying problems? Well, so, there goes your rigorous testing and I wonder wot percentage of the population have some sort of allergy then. But, but, but it’s nothing to worry about and you must just get the damn jab when you’re called, okay? No ifs, no buts or no jab pass-card.
Regards that ten pound windfall I mentioned yesterday, my little nest of vipers, who’s, coincidentally, my allergy, got wind of it and has ordered a new colander catalogue...
Wot the hay; further to the Petty number, here’s a number with lyrics that work on so many levels regards where we find ourselves these happy days. Inside out? Upside down? Enjoy.

Hi Mac
Weekly trip to town today. Two remarkably similar conversations.
On enquiring of taxi man what he thought of it all: "I have mixed views but I'm going to take the vaccine so I can go on holiday" came the reply.
On meeting and enquiring as to the well being of a lady acquaintance who I hadn't seen for a year or so: "We're absolutely fed up with it all but we're going to have the vaccine so at least we can go on holiday".
Me to her: "I could point you to several online videos by eminent doctors as to why that's a bad idea". "I'm sure you could Rick" she replied. This is when you realise that pushing it any further is pointless, but I managed to follow up with "Don't you ever wonder what is really going on?" "I don't because I don't want to know" she replied.
This attitude may be ok for a couple who must now be in their eighth decade, but I find it depressing.
Faith was restored when taxi man on way home said he wasn't having it because they are indemnified against all side effects. A healthy suspicious mind.
Here's the first video I would have recommended:
