And Then, It Still Works...

And that would be the tune below. So long ago and yet, if you pay attention to the lyrics, it could’ve been penned for today. Hell, we’re all heading for the end of the line so do all you can to enjoy every moment of your time because – to take some words from an earlier post – one day you’ll suddenly be able to see the buffers at the end of the line and when you look over your shoulder, back down the track of life, you’ll be amazed how short a journey it actually was. in fact some of us have already been there and were lucky enough to get a bounce off the buffers back down the line a little. Right into bloody house arrest...

Be warned: When you go out please be on the lookout for twitching curtains, okay? If you spot one and it twitches twice or more, get back indoors until the pander’s passed.

Quote;  Al McGuire.

“The only mystery in life is why the kamikaze pilots wore helmets.”

Mac, this one may be relevant for some thought before one hits the buffers for the first time. However I hope you bounced right back to the station platform.

I went on a search to try and make some sense of the current virus situation as at the moment I have nothing better to do... oh.. speak of the devil, Clement Freud has just popped up on the TV - again...

Amyhoo, I found a series of 3 videos, they tell 10 storylines and seem to join all the dots nicely. I'm not certain about some points, I will have to do a bit more ferreting but in the main it corroborates a lot of what I already found at other sources. The thought that I bring away is that the UK does not play a great role in what's happening in the world, we are more suffering the consequences of what is happening in the USA. I should add, that only the other day, Trump, in effect, nationalised the Fed. That's going to hurt a lot of those in the shadows. Still, here they are. Enjoy, if you like that kind of thing.

If you feel like diving all the way down the rabbit hole, try this one, by the same Dutch journalist as the other videos.

As for your quote, there are many mysteries in life, such as:
Does the Bible have a page 666?
What happens if you are scared half to death twice?
If all the world is a stage, where does the audience sit?
Why do Americans park on driveways and drive on parkways?

Also done a bit of digging about those new Stasi lockdown powers, according to sections 20/21 of the 2020 Coronavirus act these are my interpretations:

*You are allowed to go for a drive, anywhere you like, but are not allowed to stop to speak to anyone or get out of the car until you reach your destination.
*If a shop has been allowed to stay open, it can sell anything in its stock, including ornaments of the Eiffel Tower, Easter eggs, DIY materials or pictures (B&M), and you are allowed to buy them whilst there.
*You can go to a relative's house for a chat providing that you and the relative are the only ones there. You are allowed a meeting of 2 people.
*You can drive to an open space to take excersise but must observe the social distancing regulations with others there.
