Saw this and had to nick it. I promise I’ll return it to the rightful owner once I stop chuckling.
In other news, I see it’s monsoon season in India and the rain is a tad heavier this year. A sad loss of life but it’s good to see so many folk fighting their way to safety through the heavy rain, flooding and the hoards of reporters, camera crews and their technical support teams, that are there to record their every move. It also seems, from footage I’ve seen, that quite a few fellows fighting for survival are managing to record it all on their smartphones. Well done those folk I say.
Watching the TV coverage, it’s also obvious we need to offer up a further ‘well done’ to the many folk who’ve managed to find the time to dress-up in their best bib and tuckers so’s to look their best for the occasion. And the cameras...
Quote; Khushwant Singh.
“To know India and her peoples, one has to know the monsoon. It is not enough to read about it in books, or see it on the cinema screen, or hear someone talk about it. It has to be a personal experience because nothing short of living through it can fully convey all it means to a people for whom it is not only the source of life, but also their most exciting impact with nature.”
