And Then, A Little Light...

...may have come on in the corridors of ‘power’ as I saw a comment this morning – can’t remember where as I was only one coffee ‘in’ – stating someone had said the government were considering the possibility of scrapping that high speed train thingy from London to Birmingham. Or from Birmingham to London dependant upon where you’re starting from. That would be a pretty cool idea but I’m guessing many pockets have already been adequately lined even at this ‘early stage’ of the fiasco.

It reminded me of the quote from the beginning of the idea suggesting it would be cheaper in the long run to demolish Birmingham and rebuild it twenty minutes closer to London.

Thinking along those lines, it would be substantially cheaper  still if they only knocked down and rebuilt the bit of Birmingham ol’ whitey still uses and just left the rest to the rest. Then they’d only really need a train station and a small market town.  Hay, that’s not a very PC thing to type is it? However, unless my Webcam’s been hacked, you won’t be able to see the total lack of concern on my face relating to that typing.
Whoa!! Who’s that hammering the hell out of the door now?
