I’m quietly confident you’ve all spotted another failure of the government to engage in joined-up thinking. To wot do I refer? Why the glorious, envy of the world NHS of course.
Okay, we all agree it needs more money, right? Right? Right. And some jolly cleaver fellow, only yesterday, proposed that pensioners should be taxed more, via continuing NIS deductions after retirement, to help fund the NHS. However, hot on the heels of that announcement, we get the news that at least one NHS hospital seems to have been routinely killing predominately elderly patients.
Isn’t it time all these folk got together and decided on just the one strategy? Do we kill as many old folk as possible thus ‘lessening the burden’ on the NHS or does the NHS try to help keep the elderly alive so they’re available to be taxed for longer? Tricky one but it’d be good if the government would make public their preferred option.
So there you have it; a hospital killed hundreds and it took some twenty years for the truth to escape the clutches of the establishment. Tommy Robinson threatens to expose the establishment? Arrested, tried, sentenced and banged-up in an afternoon. Go figure.
Seems to me the whole country’s unravelling on so many levels and at an ever increasing speed.

“Do not regret growing older. It’s a privilege denied to many.”
