And Then We Have ID...

I’m sure You’ve all been following the ongoing investigation currently underway in Germany relating to the naughty lorry and the not-so-latest news that the lad alleged to have been sitting behind the wheel helpfully left his ID documents under the seat. If leaving ID at crime scenes was to catch-on amongst the criminal fraternity as a whole, it would go some small way to show us their underlying sense of fair-play and decency would it not? It could also go some small way in assisting various police forces to improve their crime clear-up statistics. However, that would assume the bad boys could be trusted to leave their own ID behind.

Anyhoo, from where I’m sitting, resplendent in my tinfoil onesie, complete with integrated full-head hood and mittens, it do seem to stretch my imagination a tad that a fellow would nick a truck, kill the driver, drive it through a crowded market in an attempt to wipe-out as many innocents as possible and then run away leaving his ID under the seat where it remained patiently waiting for the ace investigators to discover it, what, twenty four hours later?

I will not fall over backwards in amazement if, in the near future, it’s reported that the suspect was cornered and shot dead whilst resisting arrest.

And thus we can move on as there’s nothing further to report, another line can be drawn under another sad incident, candles snuffed-out and teddies wrapped ready for displaying at the next pop-up shrine.

“I wanted to buy a candle holder, but the store didn't have one. So I got a cake.”

A K Haart,
I believe it's a power, as yet undocumented, that's bestowed to you on your 70th birthday. Sadly, it seems it's a one-off/one day thingy as I have no idea what tonights lottery numbers will be. Sorry.
