And Then A Coke Or A Cook…

So a Cockney talkin’  cook has, despite Mr Come-undone stating there were no plans for a sugar tax, won a sugar tax. Although I don’t take much notice of ballot papers I honestly don’t remember seeing Jammy Olivetti's name on any of the runners and riders lists for the last election. I honestly don’t know who’s a sadder sack; the cook or the No. 11 crook.

So it seems we’re now in the situation where a cook, one cook, can dictate tax policy but the concerns of huge numbers of voters relating to the continuing influx of  unsustainable numbers of our bestest ever friends are ignored. Sounds like that democracy thingy’s working just fine...

Anyhoo, that’s it then, job done; our ‘celebrity’ cook can relax and go back to flipping burgers and leave us alone. You’re kidding, right? You seriously believe attention seekers such as this fellow haven’t got follow-up ‘campaigns’ simmering on their back burners?

Can you imagine the scenes in so many homes and dressing rooms throughout the land this morning as hundreds, nay, thousands of minor celebs and lower, and all those virtue signalling ‘stars’, such as  Benny Cabbagepatch, to name but three, woke to see a cook, a bloody cook, absolutely full-on centre stage of every media outlet, basking in the warm glow of himself while they’re left alone, shivering, sobbing and rending their garments and trying to prevent their heads from exploding with jealousy. I sense an imminent deluge of assorted ‘campaigns’.

Just a quick note to all you parents of young children out there. Even though you may not be able to fully grasp the correlation between food intake and exercise yourselves in relation to your kids size, are you seriously prepared to trust the dietary dictates for your children from a fellow who’s happy to condemn his own kids to suffer through their school days and life with these names?

For heavens sake!! Pamela? Maurice? How sad is that then?

So think long and hard about that. I also do believe sugar has been with us a tad longer than that ‘celeb’ cook.

Quote;  Laurell K. Hamilton.

“I sipped my own coffee, heavy on the sugar and cream, trying to make up for the late work the night before. Caffeine and sugar, the two basic food groups.”
