And Then We Be Watched….

In light of the news that ‘they’ maybe, or maybe not, could but wouldn’t, wouldn’t but could so probably are, by the back door, already watching us while we play on the Web, all this may be a little late. However, it’s never too late to make a small change even if it’s just to add a tad of confusion to them wot want to look-in.

Anatidaephobia:  The fear that somewhere,
somehow, a duck is watching you.

Most of you will, I’m sure, already be familiar with Tor, but for the kid at the back who’s always last in, check it out.

No need to clutter up your big box, just throw it on a USB stick and run it from there when you feel a hint of paranoia coming on. Firefox Portable is in the bundle by-the-by. It also has the advantage, assuming your place of work has a great big lock an’ block on various bits of the Web,  of skipping round most of that ‘you can’t go there’ stuff from what I remember from my days in such an environment.  Not that I ever used it for  that purpose you understand. Well okay, just the odd YouTube visit..…..

Bottom line; do you end up anonymous or just feeding information to someone else? No real idea other than simplistically thinking that if you’re in a coach with coming from and bound for on the front, on a nice straight super-duper highway, people can see the coach and sign and make a pretty good stab at where it’s from and going.  If, on the other hand,  you’re in an anonymous looking fast black and cut down several twisty B roads, making lots of stops, there’ll be less traffic but still some folk who’ll see you. But, it being ol’ Mr Twisty, they should have less chance of figuring out where the taxi kicked off and where it’s headed.  Get my drift?  So wadda ya think?

While we’re Webbing, I see that nice boy David Camoron has been in touch with Google and instructed them to clean up the Internet.  So there you go.  I for one never realised Google WAS the Internet and, as stupid as ol’ I, or me, be, just use it for searching for stuff  that’s on the Internet.  Just shows how dumb I be eh?  Our favourite Underdog, who’s not in the least bit dumb, has pulled poor Dave to pieces at his place.

Hay Dave!  You think Amazon are planning to attack the tax man with a big bunch of really rock hard women?

I do hope Dave’s minders don’t let him run with scissors…..
