So here I sit excitedly awaiting that Autumn Statement and news regards if I’m going to see personal taxes change.
It seems there are two thingies ‘they’
are considering regards personal tax levels. Firstly, there’s inflation wot must be controlled at all costs and also growth wot the country really, really needs. Now forgive me for being stupid but inflation, from where
I be sitting, won’t change a jot regardless if I have only one or a hundred pounds in my pocket as if gas and lekky or car fuel, need to go up in price owing to World events, lack of drilling or save the planet silliness
they’ll go up, right?
However, growth? Let folk keep more of the money they earn and they’ll go out and buy stuff they’d like thus requiring more stuff to be made thus growth. So in certain circumstances,
inflation will generate growth and that, it seems, is wot ‘they’ want.
