And Then, A break...

...from the nuttery of the nutty world we’re living through right now and do a little software post.
Now you have a a bit o’ software on your computers for note taking but whatever you use, check this bit o’ kit out. It’s small, lightning fast, customise the text for notes and the tree,  minimises to the Task Bar, re-sizable window of course  and – a winner -runs from a USB drive. I’ve used it for a few years and it’s never let me down.
MemPad is the name and it’s perfect for those times you want to make a quick note or copy and save something on the fly. Looks like it’s only available for Windows. Almost forgot a very important feature; it’s free...
The thumb drive bit’s important for me as I don’t have anything of a ‘private’ nature on the tap-top as all the programs running thereon store all output to a USB drive. And that would include the database for the password manager of course. Why not use the cloud I here you ask. That’s for storing rain and a place for seagulls to play as far as I’m concerned, it sure ain't no place to ‘store’ private information.
See? No mention of co-co or climate. How cool is that then? Okay, one little bit: Isn’t it spooky that the co-co meltdown in India is getting maximum scary screen time just as we over here are about to start ‘offering’ the chemi cocktail to the thirty year olds, or thirty year youngs, dependant on your position on the graph of life. Thank you India for the impeccable timing. Shame about that star who was helping promote the jabba-dabba-do dying a day after getting his though.

Housing Softie "What's snow? Nobody mentioned snow."
There has been a suspicious entry attempt into your house. Your home entry keypad may have been compromised and is now locked. Do not enter your 15 character password. Please telephone home security center using the cell phone you used to set up your home security eleven years ago and be prepared to enter this 17 character identification code. Do not give your entry password.Be prepared to answer the five security questions for which you provided your answers eleven years ago.
In the event of any suspicious data entries an armed response unit will arrive to ensure your home security.
Have a nice day.
