Another wot then? Movie to send the sensitive over the edge. I like this one because the number parodied is a number I remember enjoying way back in my youth; also as the literal number below. The version below, below, is a cracker for these crazy, hazy days of Covid-1984 we’re experiencing.
Prior to the show, you probably thought the insanity must have bottomed-out by now; oh how wrong you were. Now that chicken franchise has dropped the slogan, ‘Finger likin’ good’ for reasons. I mean, really, wot nutter would eat a bucket of chicken nuggets without wearing rubber gloves? Eat, finish, remove glove, lick fingers, right?
Remember the old one? Lick your finger, hold it up and the cold side is wind direction? Remember? Please, please don’t teach your kids that old finger likin’ trick. So much safer to wet their finger in that pool of dog urine over by that lamp-post...
Then came the news that a supermarket chain is in ‘trouble’ for selling a drinking vessel with a Roald Dahl quote upon it. The quote? 'A brilliant idea hit her'. The problem? No idea but domestic abuse campaigners have said its message promotes violence against women. Yeah, right. And the supermarkets reaction to this demented demand? All mugs removed. However, the mugs in charge, who bowed to this, are still in place. It’s obvious peak lunacy is a long way off at this point in time.
Timidadians, please leave now because the first version below will put you on a politically correct tilt and the second is guaranteed to cause you many a sleepless night and the screaming ab-dabs during periods of wakefulness...
And now for the doozey... same crew as last night – I think.
Wear a mask if you wannu
Or you could leave that mask behind
You really don’t need to cover your face
With a diaper all the freaking time
Quote; Greg Nagan.
“It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. It was the future, and everything sucked.”

Absolutely brilliant couple of vids.
I too loved the original, reminds me of a cotswold childhood, the scenery and architecture, morris dancing, straw at the sides of all the lanes at harvest time, a place called England.
Your mention of peak lunacy brought to mind my favourite bit of graffiti:
Is there intelligent life on earth? Underneath in a different hand: Yes but I'm only visiting.

Rick,
That brought back some memories my friend - a little more this evening - and I love the graffiti. How true
