I see our proud seekers of truth at the BB-Calamity are in a bit of bother over ‘fake’ reporting. Again. Is this the death knell of our beloved ‘news’
channels? I mean how will so many millions of us wypipo start the day without checking this wondrous BBC site paid for by you and me for stuff like this;
“Donald Trump don announce say US no go attend di G20 summit for South Africa on top one widely discredited claims say dem dey oppress white pipo for di kontri.”
Anyhoo, I’m sure that site will be getting ever more popular here as the demographic changes year by year; nay, month by month.
Looking on the bright side I see ‘I’m A Celebrity{?} Get Me Out Of Here’ is due to return to our televisual receiving devices soon. How exciting is that
then? No? Oh.
Quote; Amit Ray.
“In this era of fake news and paid news artificial intelligence is more and more used as a political tool to manipulate and dictate common people, through big data, biometric data, and AI analysis of online profiles and behaviours in social media and smart phones. But the days are not far when AI will also control the politicians and the media too."

I watched Gardeners World last night and noticed there was several video reports from a nice garden in Dumfries and Galloway. But they did not specify exactly from where in the 6246 square km of Dumfries and Galloway this was. As my nom de plume indicates I hail from a corner of that huge area. And it pisses me off that the UK msm report something has happened in D&G. It is like reporting that there have been riots in the Home Counties.
But what really got my goat was Monty Don stating that this last summer was the driest in living memory, on record or something similar.
I am living. And I remember 1976. Read about it. I remember it because I was testing big military kit at minus 40C. Every evening as I cycled home I felt guilty.
That sunk my credibility in anything that Monty Don said. BBC was already gone.
Doonhamer,
All so true. I'm sure you've seen how the TV reports snow or rainfall in mm rather than inches thus 'reporting' a far bigger, scary number for the young. And not so young...
