Still here to ‘report’ on a couple of ‘news’ items. First up I see the government are out to make big savings in welfare
payments. These savings seem to mainly to be aimed at those with mental health issues thus I’m guessing all those wot would rule over us are facing having their salaries seriously slashed, right?
The other bit?
Well, so, a fire a mile and a bit from Heathrow has, according to the MSM, pretty well shut down global air travel.
No emergency backup lekky generation at Heathrow? Seems it do have but after a quick Google... it appears that Heathrow had changed its back-up systems in order for it to be net zero compliant. And therefore they had got rid of their diesel generators and have moved towards a biomass generator that was
designed not to completely replace the grid but work alongside the grid. And that worked okay didn’t it Ed Minibrain? Look and learn little lad. Let’s hope a whole hell of a lot of
green, net zero fanatics got caught-up in this mess.
And they don’t have battery backup on their communication kit? Hell, in these wondrously tech rich daze, couldn’t they communicate with aircraft via
smartphone? Don’t aircraft have radar? Sat-Nav? Google maps? Don’t ground crews include landing chaps with two bats any more?
Back in the day we wouldn’t let a little lack of lekky interrupt the comings and goings from the rigs...
“And God said, 'Let there be light' and there was light, but the Electricity Board said He would have to wait until Thursday to be connected.”
