And Then A Comment…

Further to yesterdays post, via the comments, I do believe DiscoveredJoys has hit on something of some importance. It’s reproduced below and would seem to suggest our betters come up with rules wot must be followed by us down here from various works of fiction and possibly nursery rhymes. their
DiscoveredJoys presented us with this Wikipedia article about Gulliver's Travels. Coming down the line you thunk?

“The novel further describes an intra-Lilliputian quarrel over the practice of breaking eggs. Traditionally, Lilliputians broke boiled eggs on the larger end; a few generations ago, an Emperor of Lilliput, the Present Emperor's great-grandfather, had decreed that all eggs be broken on the smaller end after his son cut himself breaking the egg on the larger end. The differences between Big-Endians (those who broke their eggs at the larger end) and Little-Endians had given rise to "six rebellions... wherein one Emperor lost his life, and another his crown". The Lilliputian religion says an egg should be broken on the convenient end, which is now interpreted by the Lilliputians as the smaller end. The Big-Endians gained favour in Blefuscu.”
Our current set of politicians would probably ban eggs altogether in support for community cohesion and Net Zero. It takes a lot of power to boil an egg you know.

As a by-the-by, the ‘news’ recently seems to be full of reports regards the alarming and ever increasing number of young folk suffering with mental problems.
Think on, wot do many folk do when feeling stressed or down? Very many reach for a fag or a vape, right? Could it be the rise in kids vaping is to ease their stress and strain? More kids with mental issues, more kids vaping.
So banning various easily obtainable vaping thingies will do wot? Increase and/or worsen mental problems in kids? Is this the plan so’s to make them ever more frightened of scary news like global warming and warm them to the wondrous idea of Net Zero an’ such?

“In every age it has been the tyrant, the oppressor and the exploiter who has wrapped himself in the cloak of patriotism, or religion, or both to deceive and overawe the People.”
