And Then A Discovery...

I do believe I’ve made a discovery that will rock the world of entomology to its very core. Firstly, a little background.
y’all will be all to familiar with summer and house flies, right? Work in the kitchen on a fine day, open the door and they will come. Mainly, from wot I see, they’ll fly in, look around and if no food is visible to sit on, they’ll leave. There’s always the nutter that’ll spend an inordinate length of time battering itself against a window two feet from the open door.
Then there are the small guys - young? – that come in, usually by two, and seem loath to leave. They look around then content themselves with sitting on the worktop or glued to the window. When they do fly around, they’ll get right to the open door but won’t leave.
However, whilst I spent protracted time in there after the sub-floor water leak, I made my stunning discovery.
Whilst resting my knees, I watched a big fly guy enter and right behind two small fly guys came in. They did the fly around then the big guy left but the little fellows stayed.
Now this is the whoa! moment. About an hour later a big guy came in, did the fly about bit and left. So? So, to my surprise, little guys went out with him.
My conclusion is thus: Is the big fellow a papa or a mama and the little guys the kids?
Let’s say it’s mama and she has things to do so off she sets from home but the two eldest kids follow along. Mama would prefer to do wot needs doing on her own without the kids buzzing around and so on the way she chances to spot an open door.
They troop in, mama looks around, senses safety so tells the kids to stay put and she’ll pick ‘em up later. She also instructs them to keep an eye on the big weird lookin’ thingy with funny skinny wings and only two legs as it may get excited and start lashing-out at ‘em...
During the wait, the kids keep looking out for mama through the window or the door and eventually, business concluded, mama flies in and buzzes, “Okay kids, all done, let’s go home.” and off they all fly.
Wot y’all think? A major breakthrough in entomology or does this qualify me for constant care in the community and more deserving of the track below?

Mark In Mayenne,
It sure is different is it not?
A tune well suited for these weird times...

These are vital questions for today, Foggy.

Mr Higham,
Thank you. It's good to know my research is of interest to others and not just those of the mental health fraternity.
