And Then, Standby...

You’re all, I’m sure, fully onboard with the MSM recounting, with glee, hourly, the ‘latest’ Co-Co figures and the bending of the truth by declaring x number of deaths twenty eight days after a testing positive for Co-Co symptoms but failing to add exactly wot it was they died of.

Now we have a vaccine that anyone and everyone that can get to a microphone, is insisting we all clamour for, I’m betting that, over the next few weeks, the media ‘reporting’ of ‘official’ Co-Co stats will change to tie-in with the narrative roughly along these fear ramping up lines below:    

They’ll report the stats and deaths of folk with symptoms then I can envisage further ‘facts’ being added breathlessly to the reports. We’ll be told that of the deaths reported, ‘x’ percent had not received their promised jab in time due to government incompetence and a further ‘y’ percent had recently refused the jab which will be reported as stupid people believing all the ‘fake info’ that’s freely available. It will also be used to highlight the need for the government to shutdown any and all ‘off message’ talk of any description. And thus the vast majority will continue to clamour for the needle and not notice further erosions in their freedoms...

   Does anybody still actually believe any of this rubbish? It’s like living in a real-life science fiction film in which what passes for public discourse is controlled and imbued with exaggerations and untruths that bear no relationship to reality, or even the underlying facts of the controlled discourse itself.
   The fact is that mortality rates for SARS COV-2 are statistically tiny and comparable to ordinary flu, while morbidity rates are easily manageable within normal resources without the need for any extraordinary public health measures whatsoever, let alone the absurd restrictions legislated for by this silly government and supported by its pernicious helpers and admirers. Most who suffer adverse symptoms soon recover. Those who do not usually have underlying health problems.
   Staying at home, wearing a mask when out, and the other measures, may or may not be helpful or socially-considerate, but mandating that people do these things is a pointed infringement of ordinary civil liberties and an intrusion on human agency in what purports to be a free society.
   The inexorable and insuperable mundane Laws of Nature, customarily understood through aeons, charted in the unmatched works of Darwin and encapsulated in Spencer’s famous coda, cannot be overcome. Each of us – me, you, even Mr Redwood, though he is regarded as a divine deity – will one day die. The medical profession and its supporting sciences have yet to find a solution to this problem, and part of me hopes they don’t as the rigours of natural selection and its adaptive demands are an essential basic feature of societal health.
   Imagine living in a society in which all your needs are catered for, there are no competitive demands, and what is more, you can live for an extra 50 years. It sounds nice, but I would submit that there would be very many more people of inferior intelligence and physicality in such a society and…..Oh, wait…..We’re already there!
   You are going to die. One day so will I. If you’re young, you could still die today or tomorrow. If you’re old, you’re at particular risk of falling ill and dying. Either way, you must die. These are facts. Shutting down an entire society so that you can live a bit longer is not a solution. The solution is simply to accept the facts of life – and live your life.

To end – that would be the end of this post, not the end of days - a number linked via Rick who continues to walk on thin ice  and thus so do all who click ‘play’. Does that thought frighten you? Then you shouldn’t be here...

          

Addendumadodad; Even my little nest of vipers is amazed that this virus has mutated to the point that it understands the government ‘advice’ regards open windows i.e. it’s allowed to go out through the window but not to come in.
