And Then, Muzzles...

Top of the ‘news’ today, other than a footy star has sadly passed away, seems to be that we’ll shortly be ‘instructed’ to start wearing face masks in all retail outlets. Think of the queues forming as folk mumble their requests/questions  garbled through their muzzle to shop assistants who then have to try and decipher the muzzle-mumbled question then give a similarly muzzle-mumbled response. That could go back and forth for some considerable time could it not? I trust this is only shops an’ such as if it covers restaurants as well, it’ll kind o’ knock the edge off the Rishi Sad-sack ten pound off nosebag deal.

In other news, yesterday I caught a young lady – looked about eighteen – who the bottom screen ticker informed me, best I remember, was a spokesperson for the Office for Budget Responsibility who, surprisingly as this was the BBC, didn’t have a positive word regarding those announced financial package plans for post plague UK.

Then this morning, another lady featured strongly on the news. And she was? Why, with swimming pools opening – muzzle free? – it was good to see this lady finally getting the recognition she so richly deserves  in these trying times; none other than the Managing Director of Swim England. Ah shacks ma heed.

Anyhoo, back to muzzles, a comment I bumped into, a chunk of which I have cheekily copied and pasted below, says it all really, especially the closing few words;

“Forced use of muzzles is about control and to act as a safety blanket for the corona deranged, whose minds have been cracked by the diet of fear from the scum-media.”

Let’s give all that no never mind and sing along out o’ here...

Quote;  Thomm Quackenbush.

“You got a vicious animal inside you. It wants to snap, it wants to attack, but it's harmless because some woman fitted a muzzle on it. Now, how do you imagine it feels about that muzzle? How do you think it will regard the woman the moment that muzzle is off, and she is within biting distance?”

Mac, I've given my opinion on masks over at Leg Iron's. Remember that masks in shops are not mandatory just yet. I am doubting it would work anyway.
