And Then, More Money...

It seems those folk wot work in the public sector want more money. Trust me fine public folk, you’re not alone and a lot of folk ‘out here’ are envious of your pension prospects but let’s not give that no never mind. Anyhoo, I noted today that some chap thought the government should raise personal tax a tad to pay for the wage increase for them. That’ll work. Oh, wait a minute! Do those wot want more money not pay tax then? They do? Bummer. They could go look for something else to do that pays better I guess.

Another answer would be to divert some of that foreign aid cash and thus cut out one loan the government makes each year to pay for stuff. Why not? Look at the NHS; we’re told that most nurses come from far away places, right? Take another step and it seems most are caring for folk from far away parts so paying them from the diverted foreign aid budget would seem to be a no brainer. Don’t send the money there as the people  are here. Easy. Teachers? As the countries demographic make-up  rapidly changes, foreign teachers will soon become the required norm so same deal.

It’s the old story is it not: If you and your neighbour have severe credit card debt problems, as much as you may want to, you don’t help your neighbour with his debt until you’ve sorted your own out, right?
