And Then, Wot To Believe…

It’s been a busy time wot with one thing an’ another. Anyhoo, here’s a possibly unnecessary ‘warning’ to y’all.
Recently, I’ve been receiving an Email from LinkedIn with the same subject line, every two or three daze. No idea. Just delete. Then, out of the blue, I got an Email from an almost forgotten buddy I worked with a very long, long time ago asking for help stating he was very ill and unable to use the inter-web thus asking if I’d go up that big river online shop and purchase a phone voucher for an equally ill relation of his. He’d send details of where to send voucher details and he’d reimburse me right away. Yeah, right. Delete. Had one of those? Be on your guard; after a quick search on Giggle I got some
details here.
Then a phone call from my neighbourhood energy advisor. Yet another yeah, right.
Damn! Is anything safe these daze? Do you have to think through every call and mail you receive? Consider every clicky thingy you’re about to do? Short answer, yes... Suspect phone call asking questions? Never answer and never, never answer ‘Yes’ as they record all and can edit calls and possibly use ‘yes’ for other nefarious purposes.
Net result? Just in case, It all brought forward the annoying, time consuming, various critical password changing task.
