Well, so, here I am looking forward to tomorrow with great excitement as it will be the occasion of my seventy-eighth year on earth.
We have a huge party planned to be attended by just myself and my little nest of vipers. Yup, that is it. There will be a grand opening of my birthday card, thanks proffered
then a snooze on the sofa.
Will I look back? I guess so as looking forward isn’t that exciting when an age is reached.
And just in case I don’t show up here very regularly may I take this opportunity to wish y’all a very happy Easter. Pardon? Oh, right, happy that as well.

In 8 days it will be my 88th birthday. I am pleased to be able to continue driving as I have just been checked over by the Doc. Thing I cannot fathom is, how did I get this far and where has all the time gone ?
As a relative youngster of 76 a few weeks ago, I had a long discussion with friends from 60 years ago – fellow engineering apprentices. The discussion was about anything we would change if we could go back. We decided we wouldn’t change a thing, because we couldn’t remember anything we would want to change.
Cheers Yet Another Chris
johnd2008,
Enjoy your daze and when driving, beware those young ladies who seem to believe it’s illegal to drive any further than 6 inches behind the car in front. Where did time go? Did you blink as indeed did I?
Anonymous,
Regrets I've had a phew but then again too phew to 'remember'.
Oh, well done sir and happy birthday!
James,
Now 78 + I day and still here. Thank you.
Best wishes for the season.
Happy Birthday+1

Old age isn't so bad at all, we can treat ourselves, wear comfy clothes and thick socks, ignore health warnings and politicians are as entertaining as the old comedy programmes.
A K Haart,
Oh boy, thick socks! Remember when younger all those with some form of authority looked old and experienced in their field? With the passing of the years they now look like they've just recently left school.
And a guid New Year to you. May the road rise to meet you...etc.
As to the frequency of your missives? It is the quality rather than quantity that matters.
Seems appropriate. Go out and SHOCK!!

Doonhamer,
Thank you for the kind words.
Doonhamer,
Nice one. Not sure about purple; grey’s more my colour to match the daze we’re living through...
