And Then Another Number
This is for Nourishing Obscurity as my comment pointing to this choon at the Cock and Bull entry hung on Publishing. Never mind, there’s more than one way to skin a publisher... Hope you enjoy this old number;
Like whisky, the Best Pub depends on circumstances. Sometimes it is the nearest one, any port in a storm, sometimes a cosy quiet one when you want to be alone with someone special. Or the one where you are sure to meet lots of good friends, even if that is first time you have met them. Or where the beer is just perfection and slips down like nectar. It might be busy but there is a good chance of a seat. Whatever, the barman saw you coming in and acknowledges you even if serving others, always remembers the order of customers waiting, even the inconspicuous one, and ladies. Spots the nearly empty glass. Curbs inappropriate language or behaviour. I have enjoyed finding them all. What was the title of that song and who were singers?

Doonhamer, And those so loved establishments are, sadly, fast disappearing from the landscape. The choon? My take of this number; The Cock & Bulls Tavern by that raunchy - but most entertaining bunch, The Poxy Boggards.
