Did you watch the Oscars last night? No? Of course not. However I bet you haven’t escaped seeing the bit of drama on the ‘news’ channels today featuring a fellow of colour flouncing out of the audience and slapping another fellow of colour on the stage.
Spare a moment and reflect on the breathless, panty wetting, non-stop media meltdown of like, total outrage that scene would’ve generated if that’d been a white fellow wot flounced forth an’ slapped that compare of colour.
Hollywood may well have been reduced to ash by now with many other US cities also burning brightly. Probably over here as well… Probably? All followed by world wide teddy and ‘T’-light-fests.
